10-9-2008 - due date is here

My mood while writing this blog: normal

Where are all the trumpets and people here heralding and celebrating the coming of my due date? It feels like any other normal date but it is a date I have been talking about since the 21 week mark, some nineteen weeks ago.

I have had a series of bh contractions but nothing painful or regular. It is not that I expected to be feeling something around now as I know hardly any babies come on their due date but it is the first time I COULD be realistically feeling something. I have never had a baby before my due date - well only once but that was because I was induced due to high blood pressure but the other two came on their due dates.

This whole thing of 4 different due dates is a bit frustrating - I know I know the baby will come when he is ready or my body says enough is enough but I would love to know. But I wont know, so the most I can do is just treat this day and the following days like it is just another pregnant day and enjoy being pregnant.

I took my daughter to the hairdresser last night and the woman there asked me how pregnant I was and when I told her how many weeks she was like 'oh dont have your baby here'. I have had this reaction all week when I have been out and you feel like a broken record telling them that you arent going to.

Anyway, these are my ramblings for now. Just thought I would mark the occassion by a few words.
