21-10-2008 - baby is changing

My mood while writing this blog: good

Hubby looked up some blogs of mine and wanted me to add as a footnote to my last concerns that when I did my first aid course baby and hubby coped quite well. Baby took the bottle well and would have had more if had left more for him and hubby looked after him well and responded to his needs! I was proud of them both!

I have noticed in the last two days that Hadley has changed a bit. When he grizzles now he makes 'words' - I guess he is moving his jaw now when he makes noise and it sounds like talking - baby talking of course. And the other thing he is doing is moving a lot more in his legs and upper body. You really have to hold onto him when he is on your chest or he will jump off. he can push up with his arms fully extended and lifts his head right up. I went out to buy a cd today called Sounds for silence. It is a cd of household sounds that is supposed to soothe 9 out of 10 babies almost instantly. It was $40 but I was given a gift voucher and used that to buy it. I cant go shoping without everyone wanting to stopme and talk about him. We had a bath together today and he smiled at me. He really smiles at my oldest daughter too. It is so beautiful. I love his smile. 4 1/2 weeks
