Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: excited |
Today I was tickling my baby's tummy and he was smiling every time I did it and then, he laughed - one of those cute giggles that is so infectious. and it was only happening when I tickled him so he is finally responding. I can be sure of that. He has been smiling since he was born but now there is a cute giggle and he gets genuinely excited. So I ran to grab the video camera to capture more but he wouldn't do the actual laugh again. So I started doing peek a boo behind my hands and he responded to that. Sometimes he just looks away or doesnt respond when you say something but he was actually responding! My god, I am sure my girls were 'babies' for ages longer than he is. I mean like real newborns. His sleeping has still been great. I have been hesitant to say that in case the next day he changes but when people ask, I tell them he is wonderful like that. He was overtired last night though and had trouble getting to sleep so I got him up as he clearly wouldnt relax when I put him down. I had him up and let him play, held him, fed him, changed about 3 dirty nappies and then when I saw him yawn I put him down, this was about 9ish and he cried but I said just to let him go. He cried for about 3 minutes and then was out like a light. Then I fell asleep on the couch at 9.30 and decided I should go to bed when he woke up - too tired to deal with it - I put him in bed with me and we went to sleep for the whole night, except once when I changed his nappy. In the morning he woke up after my shower and he had a feed, put him back to bed, and again woke up for a feed, put him back to bed, slept about 2 hours that time. He stayed up about 45 minutes, had a feed, I saw him yawn and now he is back to sleep. It is my belief that if they get a good sleep, they want more and find it easy to get back to sleep, until the cycle breaks. I woke up in the night and felt like I had been asleep for years. it was wonderful
