| 23-11-2008 - I'm sick | My mood while writing this blog:lethargic |
Ehhhhhhh, I am sick. I think I have the flu. I have a bad headache, am all stretchy and blocked or runny nose and coughing too. Plus I am hot. Thank god for Panadeine. My youngest daughter also has it. She turned 10 on the weekend and she had a party on Saturday. 8 of her friends came for 3 hours and they played singstar and I spent most of the time telling them not to do stuff in my house, like stay out of my other daughter's things, run near the baby's room and and be gentle with the microphones. One mum decided she wasnt picking up her daughter until 2 hours after the party had finished which I thought was very rude. The poor girl didnt know when her mum would come or what her mobile number was - seriously I was about to call the police. When she finally got here I gave her a piece of my mind in the nicest possible way and she just kept saying sorry, but I didnt feel better about it. Anyway, I, in my crook state, went food shopping, with the baby and my oldest daughter, took my youngest to the doctor, expressed milk so I could leave the baby at home, went to the library, bathed the baby and cooked a roast chicken dinner. Then I tried to stay awake long enough to watch the winner of Australian Idol. Then bubby wouldnt go to sleep, despite repeated efforts at putting him down. I finally said to hubby, you look after him, I have nothing left. So he stayed awake with us for about 3 hours which is a record for him. he finally went down in the cradle in our room sucking a dummy, even though he doesnt normally have one. he woke up some time in the night and I brought him into bed where I am surprised I did not suffocate him with tissues and my body heat which was fever. I kept having the most weirdest dreams about bubby being so smart and working out Turkey. And I couldnt shut my mind up. it was so annoying. Then my youngest woke up saying she had a headache so I gave her a hot water bottle and a blanket of mine and put her back to bed. I woke up in the morning with the sorest head and thoughts of not working, but I had to get up to avail myself of pain relief and sat in the shower. I feel somewhat better with the panadeine but my body wants to shut down right now. Also I am worried that bubby is suffering with the cold/flu as well. He has been coughing and snuffling, but he isn't hot or anything and his nose doesnt appear to be blocked. In other news, Hadley has been smiling so much and laughing too. he also still rolls from front to back. Well that's it for me
