27-11-2008 - what a week

My mood while writing this blog: run down

It has gone fast but I made it. First of all, in my last blog, I was sick; well that only lasted Sunday and Monday and by Tuesday I felt much better. Youngest daughter was sick on Mon and Tues but felt better, then middle daughter got ill and she has been off school all week. So while trying to recover, myself, I have been getting up in the night to deal with headaches, fevers and vomiting - from the girls. As I said, I got better, but then yesterday developed a cough, which I never usually suffer from. Had a wonderful night's sleep but woke up feeling like crap. But no rest, I had two dental appointments in two different parts of town with 2 daughters. After coming back from the second one and thanking my lucky stars I survived the car trip home as I was suffering flu symptoms of stretching, aching and feeling sleepy, I came home, changed the baby, got undressed and got into bed with the baby and 2 strong painkillers. And woke up 2 hours later, feeling as though I had been somewhere else. Poor bubby was roasting under the doona as I was freezing. I think he is used to that now. It's great that with all the co sleeping I do, bubby still goes down to sleep in his own cot, awake.

At 10 weeks, he is a fabulous sleeper and he just wants to go. His legs are spring loaded, his neck is very strong and he is really alert. He can still roll from front to back. He feels so much heavier. He is making all these cute baby noises now and smiles so much. He was so good at the dentist. I fed him and he didnt fall asleep so I popped him in the pram to give my back a rest and he was happy to just lie there and look around for 40 minutes. The dentists commented on how content he was. I may stay in bed tomorrow if I need to, but think I will have an early night.
