05-12-2008 - still sick

My mood while writing this blog: good mood

I am still crook. I have this really horrible cough and now it hurts to breathe. I normally get over things so quickly but this time it is taking it's time. I still have to have panadol as I get a headache and it hurts my head to cough and on top of all this, I got up at 5.30 as I think I have a bladder infection now. Grrr. I hate being ill. Luckily bubby hasnt been sick at all. He didnt have too good a night last night. I very rarely hear him cry ever and last night I heard some blood curdling cries. My husband took me out shopping for my birthday present yesterday. About a week ago he asked what I would like and I said nothing but then as a joke I said a massive diamond ring, then thought nothing of it. I was thinking of asking for a stainless steel frypan. Anyway 2 days ago, he told me that it was ironic that I said about a ring as that is what he was thinking of! So on our day off we went shopping, so it wasnt a normal day for bubby sleep wise. Then in the afternoon I had to take my daughter to the dentist and after that went to another shop so his sleep was really broken all day and he just wanted to be with me. He wouldnt sleep for long and would wake if I put him down asleep. Finally he got to sleep but with a little bit of frustrated tears, poor baby. he never cries, ever! Unless he is hurt, or extremely tired.

And my ring..........I found one after looking at about 5 shops. As I didnt get an engagement ring, before we got married and my wedding ring was the plainest, cheapest ring we could find, hubby bought me a bridal set which has princess cut diamonds around the ring and 4 diamonds together in a square shape, but they arent held in by claws. It is sort of set in a square somehow and the other ring is the same but without the 4 diamonds on top. It just has the diamonds around the ring. I feel very special to be wearing these rings that my husband gave me. And the setting means it wont catch on fabric or anything and it wont scratch anyone, as I work with kids, I have to be careful what I wear.

Apart from yesterday, bubby is still sleeping really well. He is an easy baby to work out. I think he is getting close to rolling from his back to his front. Yesterday my daughter said that he did but then she admitted to helping him, so when I see it for myself, I will believe it. he is still very smily and happy and I am looking forward to my first christmas with him and his first christmas with his family
