| 08-12-2008 - feeling somewhat better | My mood while writing this blog:good mood |
I went to the doctors on the weekend and it turns out all my coughing and feeling crap was due to an upper respiratory infection so I have been on antibiotics for it. It is somewhat better as the title says. I didnt wake up with a dry mouth and managed a good night's sleep with Hadley getting up at 4am. I am sure to be on the mend now. Still have this awful blocked nose but that too isnt as bad. I hate being sick I really do.
Not sure if it has anything to do with it but for the last few days Hadley has been crying - not for more than a minute or two but he has let out some cries I have never heard him do. He has been quite unsettled too. I am not sure if I am reading his tired signs when he is showing me them or his sleeps have been out of routine (his? I dont actually know what they are yet) or what, but he soon calms down. it is just weird, like today he had a really big poo and I had to change his whole outfit and he let out this massive ear piercing cry that was so loud, I was sort of scared! I hope it has nothing to do with the amoxyl which is meant to be the only one you can take while breastfeeding.
What else is he doing? Well he scoots himself to the end of the cot so that his head is pushing into the end. I think what he does is wake up very quietly and play in bed for a while before pushing himself backwards up the cot to the end then cries. Lately he has been laughing when I say moo cow to him and of course all the kids say it to him now so he is getting a lot of attention. he really enjoyed his bath last night and now that he is gainging more control over his movements I have to be careful as he can wriggle and end up rolling over in the water. He grabbed my nose last night when I was playing with him. We went to the park yesterday and he seemed to enjoy that and ended up falling asleep in the pram on the way home. Nothing much else to report really. Still sleeping with me and wakes up so happy and smiliy; I dont like to miss that. Oh yeah and he seems to be chewing biting on his hands at any opportunity at the moment and dribbling too. Does this sound like teething? My girls got their first teeth at 4 1/2 months and he isnt even 3 months yet.
I have one daughter's graduation from grade 6 coming up next week and another daughter's award night this week, she doesnt even know what award she is getting so that should be interesting. I am just trying to stay on top of everything at the moment.
