| 23-12-2008 - changing again | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
My baby rolled yesterday from back to front. He has been really arching his back the last few days and if he is reclining, he can now make his body straight so we have to do it up now. used to be able to sit him in it but not any more. Then yesterday he rolled. he pulled his stomach muscles so he was curled and then straightened so he rolled himself. Apparently he looked very proud of himself, I was in the next room but hadn't seen it. he hasnt done it since unless I help him a little. This whole back arching thing and increase in muscle control has meant he has found a level of frustration he never had before. Almost every time I lay him down to sleep, he arches and cracks it. it is usually just for 30 seconds and then he calms down and goes to sleep but the other night he just didnt want to be down or up. I knew he was tired though as if I rocked him, he would close his eyes, so I just had to leave him to cry and sleep. it was only a few minutes and then he was sleeping. He just cries like that when he is really really tired. It was awful though, I felt like I didn't know my baby anymore as he was acting so differently.
Last night he slept from 8.15 to 2.45 and from 2.45 til 9 - so two 6 hour stretches isn't bad.
Happy Christmas to all my friends and their families
take care
Lisa
