| 13-1-2009 - new phase again | My mood while writing this blog:excited and proud |
My 16 week old baby is now pulling his knees up under himself when on his tummy and he is getting around - mostly backwards and to his sides. Now that he can roll from back to front, he is always on his tummy when you put him on his back. He is desperate to get moving. he is still dribbling everywhere and chewing on people's fingers and loves a knuckle to chomp on. He loves his exersaucer. Hubby put it all together for me yesterday and it was quite a job. Hadley has already learnt to spin around in his exersaucer and enjoys playing with the toys around the outside of it. He can now pull things toward him and bring them to his mouth. He still arches his back and it is especially difficult to dress him or put a nappy on him when he does that. he hasn't been sleeping so well for the last two days. This morning he only slept about 1 hour from when he woke up at 8 to about 1ish. It was unusual for him but in the afternoon he got back to his usual sleeping pattern and would go to bed without crying. The thing is he can roll over now while he is wrapped up so he rolls then gets out of his swaddling then gets cranky. Mind you today he rolled halfway and faceed the sides of his cradle and fell asleep that way. The key I have found is not to let him get too tired before he goes to bed. And to put him to bed when he is happy. He has so many fun things to do now that it is hard to put him to bed when he is tired. he goes in his Jolly jumper, his exersaucer and loves trying to combat crawl. He also has this Lamaze thing which he lies on and he can spin around on his tummy.
it is really hot here but cool inside so he isnt too bothered. All of us in the house are doing whatever we can to get him to laugh and smile. That is 5 people talking baby talk, doing peek a boo, tickling and making funny noises.
He is very strong and is forever kicking me and whacking me with his closed fists. He is a happy little boy though
