02-2-2009 - losing weight/bubba is strong

Guess what?

I am losing weight - woo hoo. I have been trying for a week or so to lose weight and I am less everytime I measure in the morning. We have Wii fit so I jump on there before a shower. I am so proud of myself. I feel thinner too. It's pretty easy really. Today I went under 60kg which was something I wanted to do. I plan to lose more - about 5kg more, but dont worry I wont go crazy and lose too much and if I see it interfere with my baby's milk, I will ease up but for now - I am so happy. I really think I am just getting rid of excess fluid, now that I am drinking 2 litres of water a day at the minimum, the weight is shedding off me. Can I say a big thanks to my friend on this site who gave me some top advice, - you know who you are. I am wondering if all my life, I should have just drunk more water. I might have lost this tummy years ago.

Anyway, bubby is just gripping onto anything now. If I am holding something he will try to grab it. He grabs hunks of my face and lips and also my hair. He has a fierce grip too. He can deliberately grab things too and bring them to his mouth although sometimes the journey to his mouth sees things head for his forehead and then angles it down to his mouth. He can move around now by rotating and reaching. Today I put him in the cot in the usual position. because it is hot I didn't wrap him up. When I next checked on him he was sideways in the cot and then later exactly the opposite direction! He twists and turns now when I hold him and will angle toward the tv, computer or what ever he wants to. He chats all the time, ptah ptah ptah, that kind of thing. This morning he sounded like he was bearing down and arching his back and getting a bit upset. He had a bit of wind and then about 30 minutes later a massive poo. This was the first time he has ever had a tummy problem and he is 4 1/2 months old. I thought it might have something to do with my weight loss, but after that poo, he seems to back to his normal happy self. he kicks now so much. I adore him so much I mean really, I could eat him. Today I have felt a bit bad as I hate not spending every minute with him and having to look after children (my job). I would loooooovvvvve to be with him full time. He gives us so much joy - hubby and I just message each other all day saying how gorgeous he is!

I am going to print all my blogs out and put them in a book with a photo for every week as I have a bad memory and dont want to forget a thing.
