| 26-2-2009 - Losing weight - feeling great | My mood while writing this blog:relaxed happy energetic |
To follow up on my earlier blog - my daughters and I went out for dinner with my dad to a mexican restaurant before getting dropped off at the concert. We enquired where to meet the Veronicas and were told to speak to a lady who told us to go somewhere else and then somewhere else. No one seemed to know what was happening but in the end a very tattooed lady had us walk down all these stairs to what was backstage or under the stage of the Palais, which is a historic buildiing/theatre/venue in St Kilda. We were with about 20 people all waiting to meet them. There were little kids whose parents must have spent hundreds on merchandise. Finally the two girls came and they were so tiny. That was the first thing which struck me. I guess people used to say that to me when I was much thinner. Anyway it was our turn and the girls were lovely. They signed a dvd cover and I took photos with my daughter and them and then someone took a photo of us both with them. They were very obliging and normal, but then again they have to be if they are doing a'meeting the fans' before the show.
It didnt last long and we got back up onto the street, where girls were screaming like the Beatles years ago. We went to Maccas for a while and had a sundae as it was still another 20 minutes to go before they came on and this band Metro Station was on before them and they were so loud. There was no way were going to sit through that. My daughter begged me to buy her a cd so I got her one and she is going to pay me back with the money she gets from dishwashing at home. We already bought her a dvd to get signed so this one was on her. Good on her for buying it I say.
So we found our seats and once seated were told we had to move as our seats were actually up the top in the dress circle. So we moved and the seats were heaps more comfy and we had a great view. The concert was stupidly loud that I put tissues in my ears and so did my daughter. They were really good, I have to admit. I wasn't really a fan before but now I can't get those songs out of my head.
I actually felt so bad physically at the concert as I was suffering a flu and all I wanted to do was go home to bed, but I still had a drive ahead of myself. When I got home I had the worst sleep, I was cold and sniffly and dreamed so much.
I feel much better now though and that was the only day where I needed headache tablets. Bubby had a sniffle too but I think he is over it now too.
I am still losing weight. yesterday I weighed 57.9kg which is over 3 kg since I started trying to lose weight. I feel fantastic. I really hated the way I felt about myself when I had a fat stomach and looked frumpy. I feel great for sticking at something and great for being proud of myself and physically feel good now too. So go me!
Hadley is so strong and he stands if I hold his hands. he is constantly stretching and twisting and turning and in the middle of the night he will turn onto his tummy even when he is in bed with me. he wakes up and does a big grunt sometimes. dont know why. But still to this day, he has not kept me awake once at night. Hadley has begun to get up on his hands and knees and do the rocking thing. I guess he is building up his strength in his arms. I still can't get over how gorgeous he is. I adore his personality, his gummy smile and his sweetness and innocence.
