| 07-11-2009 - my little boy 13 1/2 months old | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
It has been so long since I have written. I have been soooo sooo ssooooo ssssooo busy with life, with having a 1 year old party, organising a naming ceremony, starting a new home business and becoming a registered marriage celebrant, but I quickly want to update my blogs on what my little boy is up to now.
He is soooo cute and gorgeous and learning so much every day
the things he does - claps, walks well, almost runs, but not quite, can stand and lower himself to the floor, loves to play by himself and with others, loves to learn new things, loves having a shower, sleeps through the night, with the occasional wake up, when he wakes up I bring him into bed with me and he will either toss and turn at which point I take him back to bed, or he will sleep with us til morning, he loves having a shower and if I say shower he runs to the shower and cries outside the door if it is closed or if I say bath, he will go to the other bathroom and do the same, he always listens and if someone says something he will react, like going out, having a shower or bath, changing nappy, going to bed. He goes to bed well, hardly ever cries and if he does it usually is just a 30 second protest. He loves his dummy, although he shouldn't really be having one except for soothing, I dont really care at this point. It is fine, he speaks and isn't that attached to it but he does like it for sleep, but he will not have it in while sleeping.
He eats well and most things, although sometimes he doesn't eat much. He has what we have if he is awake, he likes meat. He loves our sand pit with a passion and getting completely wet if there is water down the back he will play with it. He walks outside a lot so I leave the door open for him to go in and out as he pleases, he loves his swing and going really high, he loves the other kids I mind but can be very territorial and he will pull people off 'his' things.
He loves his rocking horse and elmo. He loves to feed himself and other people, he loves his toy phone and constantly gets us to talk on it, he plays peek a boo, by hiding behind things and popping out from behind. He says things in response to taking something, sometimes it sounds like ta but it may not be. He can sit on a chair (small one), the couch and coffee table, but sometimes he falls off, he can get off our bed by lowering himself down, and he takes his nappies in a bag to the garage door where he will wait for me and then he goes down the stairs and takes it to the big bin.
He hates anyone leaving without him and when he hears doors open, keys jangle or someone saying bye he will go to the door and cry or bang on it and want to be let out - we have several doors - that he does this to. He waves good bye. He likes lollies - he loves people - he charms everyone he sees - he loves going out in the car and walking down the street and being out in the pram, he loves the park, he falls over a lot while walking.
He loves books and looking at photos, he remembers things if you ask him about stuff repeatedly, like where are the pictures of the doggies - he will point and smile. He loves talking to nana on skype. He knows 'lie down' and can lie down. He loves having a bottle of milk while watching tv on the couch. He loves the night garden. He is the centre of this household, he eats everyone's food, he likes sucking on wet face washers, he loves drinking bath water from a cup and putting his face on the tiles surrounding the bath and sucking the water up from there, he loves to bite and scratch and I think the biting is a sign of love, as he only does it to the family now and has stopped biting everyone else, he pulls our hair.
He tries to put his clothes on and will go to the bottom draw and get out his pj's after a shower. He puts out his foot to try to get dressed and puts clothes up to his head, he loves the pool, he puts his hand up palms up as if to say 'where' or 'what'. He normally goes to bed around 7 but lately if he is in a good mood he stays up later, playing with people or his toys. He does not have a routine with set times, we play it by ear. He loves to get out all my plastic bowls and make lots of noise with the metal ones. He loves pushing around prams, and other wheelie toys. He dances to music and loves the remote control.
He has never been very sick, I think the combination of being exposed to other kids from birth and beyond with my day care and the breastfeeding for a year has given him a great immune system. He has two teeth completely grown at the very front top and bottom and two more coming up next to the bottom ones and two molars coming through. He wears a teething necklace which I think has helped him get through teething. You can buy them on ebay.
Well that is all I have time for today but I have been meaning to write this for a while now, so now I have it for always - my beautiful little bubby boy who I adore and is my motivation to be more than I thought possiible of myself. I am so blessed to have this gorgeous little boy who I smother with kisses. xxx
