23-1-2009 - Appointment Updates

My mood while writing this blog: Lefty typing Righty!!!!

Thought I would update you on my appointments today.

Firstly I had a call from the EPAC unit today, they are going to see me again, 9am Monday, so I am pleased about this. My doctor put in a request for me, after I discussed my worries with her, and explained that my biggest challenge was to get past the 9wk mark, she was very supportive of this, and agreed to the scan :o) So please please, wish me loads of luck and encouragement, because I am gonna need it!

Also, today I had my 'booking in' appointment, with a lovely (if not a little over enthusiastic!) student midwife, which I am not going to have, as I am in a community lead team, and will need to ring closer to my 16wk to make an appointment with one of 12!. She found everything (and I mean everything!) LOVELY! She had a light airy wispy voice that went with it too. But she was nice :o) So I have my pack, and notes now :o) I went through my list of concerns, which they reassured me every one has, so I feel better about them now, they also done a urine test, that came back clear (phew!) Then they took my blood........

Anyway, I give blood donations, so I am really not worried by the whole thing, so I have them taken, and after, my arm hurts a little, I go back to the room get my bits, and off I go (well so I thought!) I get to the car, and feel my jumper getting slighty damp, so I take a look, and there pumping out was a whole load of blood!!!!!! So I go back in, they take a look, and apply more pressure to it, it stopped a few minutes later, but I am now left with a numb arm that not only is bruised, but is sporting a nice big lump!!!!! OUCH!

I told work I would be half hour max! Well it ended up being an hour and a half!

Anyway, I now have Monday to get through with out any problems, so every thing is crossed :o)
