| 18-2-2009 - Rooteling Tooteling Doodeling Dooooo! | My mood while writing this blog:Words can not describe it!!! |
Oh my, where do I start! Oh yeah, sorry its taken me soooo long to get on here! Work got in my way! lol!
As you know I had my 12wk scan this morning, well I was extremely nervous, and was nearly sick, and I mean very very nearly! lol! So off we set, at 9.20, even though the hospital is only 10mins away if that. And I forget the schools are on half term, so there was less traffic! DOH! We get there super early, and wait for what seems like an eternity, whilst I am thinking I need a fall bladder, I am busting at the seams, I get called (Yay!) It was the same lady who done my 7wk scan, so I felt comfortable with her, which is always good. So I ask how long it would take, as I really need the bathroom, low and behold I dont need a fall bladder!!! So off I rush (what a relief arrrrh!)
So in the room she asks me lots of questions, then I hop on the couch. Let the fun begin...................
So baby is facing in wards, so we saw its spine first, then she points out the heart beat (phew!) The big chessy grin appears on my face at this point :o) Anyway, baby was lying still for a bit, until she moved the thing! Then it was bouncing about all over the place, and wouldnt stay still for her to get measurements (heehee go bubs) The only way I describe it is this: The scan video on this site of the baby bouncing back and fourth, well that is EXACTLY it! lol! It was so funny to watch, and kept making me laugh, which made it move even more lol! Then it decided to turn its back again, so this time she tilted the bed backwards, so my legs were straight up in the air, Darren was laughing because I thought I was going to go headfirst off it! He was great, and just guaped at the tv screen, with this little grin on his face :o) So I stayed in that position for five minutes until baby turned back. Whilst it was busy playing bouncy, she managed to take some more measurements, but not with out force, she had to keep wiggleing and appling pressure the thing to try and make it move (which was uncomfortable, as I have a bladder the size of a nat!). She said all was perfectly fine, and she was not concerned about anything :o) Woooo Hoooo. We didnt get to hear the heart beat, not sure why, but she said it is completely fine, and we know by looking, that baby is just fine, (damn right there! lol!) I have pictures, and will post them up soon.
I have been grinning like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland today, my whole office now knows (I couldnt exactly hide it!) So now on to telling family and friends :o)
