Ladies
I am after some honesty from you, not much, just some friends being honest about personal stuff.
Ok, so over the last few days, people at work having been noticing my bump a bit, now my team are great, and as they all know its not a problem. Its the people that I hardly work with that are getting to me.
They obviously know, and feel that this gives them the right to touch my bump, I really dont mind people I know well doing this, but anyone else, ask first! Anyway this isnt the problem.
I have been asked how many weeks I am, and when I proudly say 21wks, they then say 'oh are you, theres not much there' or 'isnt it strange shape' which leave me feeling a bit blue. Or they question if 'everything is ok'! Now I know every pregnancy and lady is different in shape and size, but I have started to think bump is an odd shape! I am not fully round, it sort of goes straight from under my boobs, then pops from the belly button, then in again! Well you can see from my pictures. Nothing has changed since I took them, and I thought i may have been getting a bit rounder by now.
I would very much appreciate if you ladies would look at my pics and tell me what you think.
Thank you for all your support.
BIG HUGS

Thursday, 23 Apr oh hun. some people can be so flipping insensitive. I am so sorry its upsetting you.
You need to remember that all people are different shapes and sizes whether pregnant or not. It looks as if you were thin before you got pregnant so I suspect that why you are not very round at the top. For me, the baby is probably in the same place (down the bottom) but I have more fat pushed up on top!!
As each week passes your uterus will get bigger and higher so your shape will change, not that there is ANYTHING wrong with the way you are now.
Try not to let the dumb comments get to you babe, all that matter is you beautiful baby is doing great and you are well.
Take care sweetie x x katie-g -

Wednesday, 22 Apr Awww hon don't let anyone get you down! Your baby bump is perfect! You're only 21 weeks and just carrying very low. Your beautiful bump will round out very quickly! Loads of love & hugs to you my friend. mrs.leyva -
Wednesday, 22 Apr Your baby bump is perfectly fine. At 21 weeks the top of your placenta is barely at your belly button. It will move up and start to round out towards the end. Don't let ignorant people get to you. klunkette -
Wednesday, 22 Apr It will round out...don't worry. Mine stomach is kind of "all the way from my boobs down the same size" so not the "perfect" rounded belly either. I think that is is because I had very strong stomach muscles before I became pregnant. My stomach didn't really start to "pop" at all until 24 weeks (check out my photos). Now at 28 it is noticable and people are starting to notice and say something, but for the longest time I just looked like I wasn't eating well. Whatever!!!!! Better chance to avoid stretchies, I think because it is not protruding so far! soon2bemamaof4 -
Wednesday, 22 Apr Awww, sorry people are making comments like that to you. You know what? All that really matters is that baby is healthy...and he or she is. As far as your bump, no it isn't perfectly round--but most of them aren't. It will change too, But I think you look just fine, HONESTLY! :o) Keep your chin up and don't let them get you down! lb1 -
Wednesday, 22 Apr Sweetie it's absolutely fine, the shape of the bump is based on how your baby is lying, mine changes shape all the time and the only reason mine starts so high up is because of all the McDonalds I've had!! You had your 20 week scan, they would have told you then if there were any problems! Stop stressing honey, it's perfect xx
