05-5-2009 - Home Sweet Home (Well Almost!)

My mood while writing this blog:

Well Hellooooo Lovlies

I thought I would pop in and update you all. Considering it is now 6.49am, and I have been up since 4.30 (next doors dog kindly woke me up grrrrr!) Thought I had better start my day (believe me it will be over by 10am and I will be sleeping at my desk lol)

Anyway, as some of you are aware we have been house hunting since January, it has been a loooong process, and we have seen some lovely houses, and some complete shockers (70's throw back springs to mind!) and lost two a long the way :o(

However.... We have found one :o) yay. Our offer was accepted last Tuesday. It is lovely, and the best parts are, it already has a double garage (Darrens domain!) and the two spare rooms are already decorated in baby colours :o) one is baby blue, the other is a very pale lilac. So my plan is to, furnish one room then when the baby comes all we have to do is switch rooms according to the sex :o)

At the moment we are going through solicitors to get things going, but over here as the UK ladies will know, we have to have checks, and surveyors, and all sorts done before we complete and sign contracts etc. Hopefully this wont take very long. Darren told the estate agents we would ideally like to be in by the beginning of June, so not long away, and as there is no chain, this is a possibilty, sooooo exciting :o)

As for me and bubs, we are doing good. Not much to report really, other than the usual aches and pains that pregnancy can sometimes throw at you. I have been seeing my Chiropractor every week for back and neck pain (which I have had for a long time) its just been aggrevated a bit more. Also the horrendous constipation! I have been reduced to tears in sheer panic, because I think I am going to harm bubs in some way, the poor thing must be traumatised, I know I am!. So I have taken action, and have been taking Fyborgel in the evenings every other day, which has helped wonders, I would recommed it to anyone in the same situation. Other than these two little complaints, everything else is going well :o) I am feeling more movements through out the day, and at night when I lay down, can watch my whole tummy move, which is a bit strange but sooo amazing. When bubs does big turns, it can make me feel a bit squeezy, like going over a hump back bridge really fast, its the weirdest feeling.

I am planning on booking up my 4D scan soon too, so that will be something else to look forward too :o) I also have a massage to go too, although I am going to call them to change it to a pregnancy massage instead (work got me it, after my m/c last Sept!) So I have until Sept to use it, so do I use it before the baby comes or after...oh the choice of being pampered is sooo hard lol!

Anyway, enough from me, it is now 7.22am, and I really must be getting ready for work (note to self DO NOT SIT ON THE BED!!! lol)

Congrats on the place i know how you feel we just bought a house too had all the pest and building reports done on it and all paper work is done with the bank so we move in on the 5th of june can't wait already started packing in between looking after my girl. All the best glad you and bubs are doing great :)

awww so nice to have an update from you!

Well done on the house!! its brilliant that there is no chain, make sure you push those solicitors!! The house we are in now took 10 weeks but we were in a big chain so I suspect you can get it done in about 6 or 7 if you keep hassling all the expensive time wasters doing your legal bits!

Thanks for the advice your text me re constipation. I have never thought it could be so painful and scary. I am never going to tell my story but I imagine from what ppl have said to me it happens to all of us with constipation, I will try anything to avoid that again!! lol

Oooo! I think you should go to your massage before the baby is born, THEN get Darren to buy you another after the baby arrives! yay!

So cool to hear you are enjoying watching all the movements in your belly. It is so cool. I know exactly what you mean about the feeling when they do a roll over. It literally churns your stomach! haha My mum said when they get bigger it feels even more queasy!

Ahh so glad you found the perfect house! Hope the surveys etc come back ok. We are decorating at the moment and I have all of a sudden become horribly indecisive, it has taken me almost a full week to decide on the paint colour for the hallway and I've realised this morning that it's actually frighteningly similar to the previous colour!!
I'm with you on the back pain, have had to go to Ikea to buy an armchair because our sofa has really low backs and I can't sit on it anymore for pain!
Isn't pregnancy lovely when you aren't freaking out as much! I'm really enjoying it now too!

Hope you get the house sorted as painlessly as possible love, you don;t need that while you're in the later stages of pregnancy although at least it's passing time on for you....
