21-5-2009 - 1st midwife app with a nice surprise.

My mood while writing this blog: happy

well i went to see my midwife (same midwife iv had with all 3 boys)

she went through my blood results which were all good besides low iron stores, but thats it, hcg levels are good.

then we looked at dates and since i have long irregular cycles getting a date isnt that simple so to my surprise she gave me a referal to have an early scan yay, usually she is a bit tight with scans b4 12wks. my dr has already given me a referal so i can now have 2 early scans if i want. and of course i will lol.

she decided to try the doppler thinking if we go by LMP we may here HB but of course we heard nothing, the next thing was a nice surprise she decided to try the old ultrasound machine that was already in her clinic from the last patient, she put it on and we could see the sac with a tiny flickering HB I was so happy to see that. it wasnt clear enough as the machine is soo old and low tech compared to the ones at the radiologists clinic so Its possible im a little furthur along than we thought but it would only be by a few days, its amazing what difference a few days can make.

i go for a proper one next thursday, cant wait
