01-4-2009 - 16 week checkup

My mood while writing this blog: Tired and Bored.

I had my 16 week check up yesterday. It was good to hear the heart beat and know that everything is okay. I am just now starting to feel the baby move and it's only slight and not that often so sometimes I wonder if it's still even in there. lol. Good to know that things are going well. Due to my being born with a heart murmur, my doctor has decided to schedule my 20 week ultrasound with a different doctor. I guess one that specializes in teeny tiny hearts. It all seems kind've like a silly hassle to me but I guess better safe than sorry. Unfortunately this means that I will have to have two appointments during week 20 instead of just one. One with my regular doctor and the ultrasound with the specialist. I hate that I'll have to leave work an extra time. Also, the specialist is quite a drive for me which is a bummer. But I guess if they think it's necessary we better do it. Otherwise things are going well. I'm so excited to find out what I'm having at my next ultrasound. Trying hard to be patient! I'm having a long and boring day of work today but I felt the baby move a few times which always helps get me through the day. Oh, and my little peanut Gracie (who's 8 months old) stood up without hanging on to anything! She only lasted about 10 seconds but yay! She's growing up too fast!

I'm glad everything is going well, its always good to go to the Dr and hear ur little ones heartbeat! I love feeling my little one kick, wish it would do it all day, but actually my baby is very active with strong kicks too! I find out my little ones sex on tuesday! I can't wait!
