My mood while writing this blog: nervous |
Well, I had my doctor's appt. this morning. An ultrasound with a fetal heart doctor due to my being born with a murmur. They can be very hereditary so they just like to check. Baby looks great, healthy as can be. And they confirmed again that she is a little girl. But the doctor thinks that I have placenta previa. I had bleeding last week and my doctor thought that it was just due to a venus lake which he said was no big deal at all. Now this doctor thinks that they were wrong and that I actually have placenta previa. He explained this as a low lying placenta and told me that I should take it easy, no running on the treadmill, no intercourse, etc. And they said that they will need to make sure that it moves before the birth. So I'm feeling a little nervous. It's just always a little scary anytime you hear that there's the possibility of a problem. I have to go back to see my regular doctor on Friday and talk about the appt. so hopefully I will find out more then. And he wants me to have another ultrasound in 6 weeks to see how things look. So does anybody know a little more about this? What the risks are? How scared I should be? lol. It's just hard sometimes to get a clear idea from the doctor and sometimes you ladies can help put things into perspective. Any comments or advice would be great.

Thursday, 30 Apr Sorry hun I don't know anything about this but I do know it's quite common and from what you're saying they are keeping a good eye on you so try not to let it stress you out. If you don't feel comfortable ask them for more answers and ask if it is anything to worry about. great that baby is doing so well. xx shesAWKWARD -
Thursday, 30 Apr I have the same thing.. its also common in first time pregnancys aka ME lol. i just KNEW that this pregnancy was going to well!! lol. you shouldnt worry to much at all! just to over do it! make sure if it doesnt feel right then dont do that anymore.
now if you decided HEY f you i want to have SEX!! then.. i would worry.. LMAO!! :)
but the worse thing IF YOU STICK TO THEIR RESTRICTIONS is that you would have to deliver by c-section.
But they wont know anything till your week 30 and then all they have to do is monitor you for a little but by getting extra ultrasounds or get you on a diffrent list of restirctions.
you will be fine dont stress!! :) your body will do its thing! :) patunya711 -
Wednesday, 29 Apr Don't be scared just try to relax. What it means when the placenta covers the cervix is that you would have to have a c-section instead of a natural birth which isn't the worst thing in the world and usually the placenta will move upwards as time goes on but as long as you have pelvic rest the baby should be fine. They thought I had the same thing but now I am 30 weeks and my placenta is not covering my cervix. Good luck Ashia -
Wednesday, 29 Apr Placenta Previa Can be dangerous if it doesnt move because of Birth you dont want to deliver it before the baby but as long as you take an easy it could move and everything will be fine hang in there hun
