18-6-2009 - Update on my baby\'s day without her papa.

I just wanted to update those of you who read my blog about my peanut having to stay with a friend over the next few days because her papa (my Dad) is out of town. As you know, I was very worried about her because she has had separation anxiety lately. Well, I wanted to let everyone know that she did great! She is so much stronger than she lets on. She had a great day and didn't really cry at all. What a funny little person. She had fun playing with my friends' son and took great naps, which she usually won't do if she's not in her own crib. Too funny. I don't give my peanut enough credit! Anyway, I am off tomorrow so I won't be back on till Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend! And thank you to everyone who was so understanding of my nerves over the situation. It's just one of those things that you can't help. My whole life surrounds making sure she is happy so when there's a possibility that she might not be and I can't do anything to change it, it's rather upsetting. I'm sure all the mommies get that.

Gracie is a real trooper! I am so happy that she had a good day! I can't imagine being somewhere else and knowing my baby is somewhere crying and scared... You had every right to worry but she did it! She is so strong... :-)

I have felt the same way many a time, you can't help but want to make sure their tears are few and far between. I'm so pleased that you had nothing to worry about and that your little girl is letting you know she can adapt. At the end of the day you trust the person you're leaving her with and like them so it's good she does too. E x
