21-1-2010 - A new year.

I was reading my blogs the other day and remembering just how crazy, exciting, and scary the last year has been for us. I was also reminded of how great all of you ladies are as I read your comments :) I am so happy to have found this website and so many great people to share some of the most important moments of my life with. So just a little thank you to all of you !

And a little update. We are currently trying to sell our home. It is so stressful and I am so anxious to get it sold. But of course, in this economy it will probably take awhile. We just put it on the market a little over a week ago. I would really be excited if we could at least get it sold sometime this year. lol. With the way the housing market is, I guess I don't have high hopes of getting it sold quickly. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for us. We are hoping to move to a little bigger home. The home that we currently have, we bought when it was just me and hubby. Well, the babies have pretty much taken over. I tell people that it looks like toys r us threw up in our living room :) We are also hoping that the next home we buy will be the home that we remain in for the rest of our lives. We have always wanted to get into a home that we loved while our kids were still under 3 or so because we want the first house that they remember to be the one that they grow up in, and the one that they come back to after college, the one that they bring our grandkids to. I just think there's something really comforting about always being able to go "home". And to have it really, really feel like home. My parents moved when I was about 12, and I honestly never felt at home at that house. And it doesn't feel like home when I go to visit. Anyway, that's what we're shooting for, so wish us luck!

The babies are doing great. Gracie is 17 months now, it goes way, way, way too fast. I really wish she had a pause button! She has started to put 2 and 3 words together. She knows some shapes, some colors, and some letters. She is so smart and she is always so excited when she learns something. Everytime she sees a circle she starts pointing and shouting, "ircle, ircle". She has also started to want to do things by herself which is difficult because when she isn't able to complete the task she freaks out. But of course, my help also makes her freak out :) I think the cutest thing that she's doing right now, is that she has started to have an opinion. lol. I try to get her dressed into one of her cutsie outfits and she has different ideas. On Sunday, she demanded that she wear her strawberry shortcake, light up boots to church. And yesterday she wanted to wear her orange and red elmo pants with her purple and pink, polka dotted shirt :) Oh well. What can you do? I tell people that she has an eccentric sense of fashion.

Gabi is 4 months (going to be 5 soon). She is getting so mobile! She can roll over both ways and if you leave her in the middle of the floor, she will roll until she gets to the wall! She is trying to crawl and can get up on her hands and knees. Unfortunately, when she tries to move forward, she doesn't know to move her arms with her legs and ends up doing a kind of "face plant" every time. She has found her voice and screeches all day which is somehow adorable and also grates on your nerves at the same time. lol. She has started to "talk" to her stuffed animals and she loves to watch nick jr. Oh, and we started feeding her baby cereal which she loves! Alright, can't wait to hear some updates from all my girlies!

Royse-Its great to hear what you have to say! :) Sounds like all these changes are making you want a solid foundation! Your little girls are growing up, its soo fun to watch them with their new milestones. Good luck on your house! I hope it sells soon for you!
