MY #2 SUCCESSFUL IVF cycle Journey-DECEMBER 2008

December 29th-my beta is 264 at 14 dpo-IM PREGNANT!

December 27th cd#26 11 dpt-went for my beta hcg this morning, should get results by Monday morning.

BOXING DAY- Well its not official, but Im pretty convinced Im pregnant, My clinic wants me in Monday for my beta, but we leave for Bahamas Friday, I will try to find a clinic to do one there. The funny thing is I FEEL pregnant. I hope and pray this can keep progressing, and healthy. Did an hpt today and the preggo line was twice as dark as the control line, I am pretty convinced I have more than one peanut brewing!

CHRISTMAS DAY- Did a FRER and BOTH lines came up at the same time.

December 23rd cd 22 7 dpt- did 3 hpts today and all three came up positive.

December 22 cd #21 6 dpt-did an hpt tody came up a faint positive

December 20 cd#19 4 dpt-nothing at all to report, was feeling a little crampy yesterday, feeling better today, will do hpt this afternoon to see if trigger shot is gone .

December 19 cd #18 3 dpt-continuing my 3 doses of progesterone daily, nothing new to report, boobs are full-progesterone side effect, bloating is subsiding, did an hpt today to see if trigger shot was still in my system, and it was very faint, so it looks like its on its way out.

December 18 Cd#17 2 dpt- feeling alot less bloated today, have had mild cramp feelings since yesterday-Im assuming that is my 16 follicles that have filled with fluid.

December 16th CD#15-TRANSFER DAY! Couldnt have gone any better, we transferred 3 perfect grade A non fragmented 8 cell embryos (textbook quality) as our RE told us, and one grade 3 5 cell embryo. Procedure was easy and smooth. Did a round of accupuncture before and after. All 9 embryos are dividing!

December 15 cd#14-waiting to see how well the 9 embryos divide.

December 14 cd#13 -sore, tender, just got the call , out of 16 eggs retrieved-11 were mature, and 9 fertilized through ICSI!

December 13th cd12-RETRIEVAL DAY-Went ok, very painfull today, we extracted 16 follicles.

December 11th cd#10-take HCG shot at 10 pm

December 11th cd#10-moreblood and ultrasound doctor said I look fantastic-compared to the last IVF cycle. Retrieval is BOOKED for SATURDAYYYYYYYYYYY-so excited.

December 10th cd#9-Bloodwork shows an excellent high level of estradiol (estrogen) and ultraound showed13 follicles, with around 5 measuring over 1.5....anything over 1.7 is considered excellent....so I have 3 more days til my retrieval and they grow about .3 a day sothey should be well over 2 cm by then. Went for accupuncture for fertility today, thought it was great, very relaxing-get my blood flowing.

December 9th cd#8-3 injections today-2 fsh drugs and orgalutan my ovulation suppresor

December 8th-cd#7 ultrasound showed 12 good size follicles growing!!! All over 1 cm with , with more just under 1 cm. I am responding remarkably well with my new med protocol. My RE gave me my ovulation suppression shot today and I take one tomorrow as he doesnt want me to ovulate...this is 3 days earlier than last cycle So i am very happy that this cycle is going so smoothly and much better than last try.

December 4th-7th cd#3-Cd#6 daily injections of 200 ui Puregon and 75 ui of menopur. The puregon is simple an easy kind of like an epi-pen, the menopur is a 2 piece medicine I must mix with a HUGE needle, then change to a smaller needle then inject-it REALLY hurts and makes me cry every time-but I just remember why I am doing this and it helps.

December 2nd cd #2-ultrasound and bloodwork, 10 follicles growing without meds so far!

November 10-28th Birth Control pill

November 28th-took my LAST BCP today, now I wait for AF to arrive and start my injections on cycle day 3!! very excited :-)

OCTOBER 30th 2008

Just had our after IVF fails follow up, and the doctors have informed us that my DH has a minor sperm issue. They said I responded very well to the procedure slash cycle and want to start cycle #2 .We will be doing ICSI with IVF this time-where the sperm is directly fertilized with the egg, and we will once more plan to transfer 3 embryos.
