I had my 1 hr glucose test done on friday...and today i got the call from the midwife that i didn't pass it...the range is 7.8...and mine was 9.1...she said i need to go again for the 2 hr test...i will have to follow a high carb diet for 3 days...fast the night before and then do the blood test fasting...and again after 2 hrs with the drink...i'm a little worried...i didn't have GD with my DD...but i ate soooo much cake that time...this time i'm not in the mood of taking any sweets...still have to do the test again:(

did the result come back yet~ with my first pregnancy i was 8 then they sent me a letter ask me to do the 2 hrs test. and thank god I passed. But at the end i have a huge baby.... she born 4.5 kgs and i read a lot this time and they said if i had a big baby before i have higher chance to have GD..... I am very worry!!!! Let me know how your result go and hope you pass the 2 hr test as GD is very trouble...... Pray for you.

I was the same way I ate alot of weets with my first pregnancy and passed no problem and then this pregnancy I barely eat sweets and I failed my 1 hr also. They said that I was not suppose to be higher than 5.3 though and I was only slightly higher with a 5.9. I did the 2 hr and passed it no problem though. I have been told by quite a few people that lots fail the 1 hr and always pass the 2 hr . So good luck and I hope it's the case with you!!
