28-7-2008 - 2 month shots

My mood while writing this blog:
relieved

ok, so we are home and things went great! mara is 10.6lbs 22inches...she did great with the shots, cried, i calmed her and put her on boob and she was fine! passed out, went to get tylenol and am home and she didn't like the tylenol but got some of it in her, fed her and she's watching her crib toys. i took off one bandade no problem next one cried so bad she had tears! she didn't even have tears after the shots! i felt so bad but it's all over with an am so much better!

I know how you feel!! Amiah had her shots today too!! We were a week behind because of vacation last week. I seriously was holding back tears (and so was Jason). Did Mara get poked 4 times or twice? They said they could give a combo shot which combined like 3 vaccines in 1, but I heard some bad stuff about that so I didn't get it. I felt soo sad because she cried louder and higher than ever before. :( Thankfully it was over fast and I just scooped her up and cuddeled her extra close and stuck in that ole trust green hospital pacificer and nite nite she went. She's been sleeping off and on most of the day and when she's awake she cries like she's kinda achy or something. I gave her Tylenol (I know, it was hard to get it in, huh?) and I think that helped a little bit. We scheduled her 4 month shots for Sept. 16th. Oh yeah, she and Mara are almost identical in size now. Amiah was 10 pounds 12 oz and 22 inches long! Funny huh?

:( I am not looking forward to Aiden's 2 month shots... It broke my heart when he got the first hep B shot... poor little guy! I'm glad she's feeling better now. We need to get together when you are down here next week!

I am not looking forward to the shots with Bailee.. It was hard enough for me when they finished the blood draw on her heel at two weeks. I am glad to hear things are good and that she is growing very will. Bailee is getting big and I can not believe how time is going by so fast.
