Sunday, 21 Dec Hello! I too have had problems with milk production and I thought I was doomed and going to have to have Jonny go on formula...however, I found the solution. Actually, got some great advice from someone that has breast fed all five of her children...anyways, the only way to produce large amounts of milk is by pumping a LOT! I hate it too, and don't really have the patience....BUT, it is necessary if you want to produce milk. I pumped EVERY single time I fed him. Pump after you feed her...even if there is not any milk coming out...pump anyways, even for another 10 minutes. Seriously, after a while you will see that you have a lot of milk. Anyways, good luck. It takes a lot of patience and it is exhausting, because I even did it after his middle of the night feeds....but it works, and is the only thing I found that works. joannemichelle -
Monday, 17 Nov Drink lots of water! And I have a friend who swears by fenugreek. I think its an herbal supplement. She said she took it and she had a lot more milk. Havent tried it myself. But other than that, see if you can just take a day and feed your baby as much as possible all day. luvbeingamom -
Sunday, 16 Nov The best way to increase milk is nurse and/or pump often. When i had to pump for my sons daycare bottles i had to pump 6 times a day and feed 3 directly to have enough. I also would eat soaked oats 1 or 2 times a day. One cup of oatmeal (reg, not instant) and one cup of water. Soak for 6+ and then i would add some brownsugar for taste, heat and eat.. It worked great for me. Good Luck. Grace -

Sunday, 16 Nov I asked my doc the same question and she told me to breastfeed as often as I can and even give her the the breast if not hungry and right after breast feeding pump if you have one. I message the breast as will while feeding and that is were the milk glands are which has helped me.
do you know how much you are producing at one feeding??
