22-9-2009 - doctors are useless please advice needed

My mood while writing this blog:
angry. annoyed

ok right to cut the story short on the 4th of this month was my first midwife appointment did the paperwork etc and the urine sample.... everything was fine then the next morning i had a call from the doctors saying i had to do another urine sample and it would be sent to the hospital so i was like ok.. well anyways they said they would call me in a weeks time if anything was wrong no call so guessed everything was ok well it had been 2 weeks and decided to call for the results anyway and they said i need to send in another urine sample i asked why and they wouldnt tell me.. so im really worried now and the fact they didnt even call me to tell me that... ive tried calling my midwife and i havent heard back from her what do i do? demand to know the results of my previous urnine sample? or what i am so worried has anyone else had this happen to them? i need advice pleassse

Thankyou for your comments :)Im going to wait a little bit longer to see if my midwife will finally call me back. if nt im either going to call to make an appointment with my doctor or simply call and demand to kno what has been wrong with my last 2 samples... im so fed up i know i shouldnt be worried as i havent been called in to see my doctors but i cant help it i just think its terrible the way they are going about this!!

sounds like someone either spilled or mislabeled ur urine. alot of labs will completely throw out urine if spilled in the bag or not labelled all the way.....this is why im glad my obgyn does all the urines in house! but call n tell them ur ot getting off the phone until you have an answer....but i doubt theres anything terribly wrong or your dr would have called you or had you come in

Hey, I found your blog on the Blogs and Questions page and thought I'd get my two cents worth!! :-D Doctors/hospitals are useless and probably lost your samples. Best thing --get down there and speak to practice manager (don't forget urine sample! :-P). It's easier to communicate face-to-face. Just explain to practice manager that you haven't got any answers regarding your samples, and it's worrying you that maybe they've picked something up in your samples and are not telling you. That you want answers (be polite, though, even if it is hard! :-P). My guess is that they lost them --so try not to worry!! :-D Hope everything goes OK. x

I haven't had it happen...but I do know that if you're asking questions, and you're not getting answers then you need to switch drs before you get further. They think they can treat people however they want to, and get away with it...eff that. lol. Good luck girl..keep us updated!
