Friday, 27 Nov Hiya, i got the vaccine almost 2 weeks ago now. I have had no side effects, except a really sore arm for a few days. I chose to get it because i work in healthcare and my chances of picking up the virus was quite high! Do some research, but most of the media stories on the net are bull!!hehe x DARA -
Thursday, 26 Nov I got the Vaccine on November 2nd, and I'm 25 weeks pregnant now, and so far the baby is fine as far as I know..she still kicks and keeps me awake at night and I eat all the time! LOL! My mom didn't get it, but she ended up with H1N1 and regretted not getting the Vaccine. I think the risks of the shot outweigh getting actualy H1N1 virus. I wouldn't chance not getting it, good luck. vickiessecret -
Thursday, 26 Nov I chose for myself and my daughter not to get it. There isnt enough know about it. I also heard that this strain of the flu has mutated already and the "tamiflu" there were using to treat it no longer works. So if it already mutated, the h1n1 shot it pointless...they will be coming out with some new shot soon, for a different strain of the flu. readyfor3 -
Thursday, 26 Nov I got it today, so did my DH and DS. We have sore arms but are fine. The swine flu is so harmful to mom and baby, so I think you are really taking a chance by risking getting the actual swine flu itself rather then protecting yourself with vaccine. I heard/read that it is just like any other flu shot. No different. I got that too. Hope this helps. x Juniwoo -
Thursday, 26 Nov Hiya... I chose not to have it. I just felt that it wasn't tested properly or for long enough and no-one has yet had a baby after having the vaccine so they don't know how safe it is for the baby. I work in a hospital unit which accepts swine flu patients but would rather take my chances and deal with what comes my way. Some say its not worth the risk but to me neither is the vaccine! Its a double edged sword hun and no-one knows if they've made the right decision. Just follow what your gut tells you to do, best advice I can give x Rubes -
Thursday, 26 Nov i had it and am fine (as did my mum). babys fine too! i was told its not live virus so u cant get sick from it. expect soar arm afterwards tho! only side effect. i was told that it only seems new (really its based on all other flu vaccines). uk is also very stringent on what vaccines/medicines are allowed into the country. basically ~~ im fine, babys fine and id advise ``get it``. hope this helps. x
