30-10-2008 - 36 week check up and a few grumbles !

My mood while writing this blog: tired but happy

Have just been for my 36 week check , well a day early but I am 36 weeks tomorrow ! No sugar in my pee again but signs of infection this time ! I had this before and results came back clear so doc said its probably just a bit of discharge that has got into my sample which they think happened last time ! But we will see!

Anyway baby has grown well has moved down a little but not engaged yet but they say that happens later when its not your first . Doc reckons babe is about 6 and a half pounds but obviously this is just a gestimate so if this is correct we are probably looking at about 8 and a half pounds full term which is just a nice size really isnt it ? I have been told all along that its not a small baby so have been thinking on the lines of 9 to 10 pounds but we will see hey ! My first son Sam was 8lb 5 and I will be very happy if this baby is about the same !

I dont get told at what rate my babies heart is beating but it is always very strong and regular which is good and we dont get examined down there here in England until we are in labour so I have no idea if i have dialated or not but I have been having a lot of BH and period like cramping that everyone else has been talking about so I am hoping that something is happening down there !

My son was born at 39 weeks so I am hoping this babe comes then too ! I keep talking to him and saying that anything from 37 weeks will be fine but I am not sure if he is listening hee hee!

I dont know about anyone else but I have been having some real aches and pains in my legs hips and bum at night and if I lie on one side for a while then turn over the side that I have been sleeping on throbs for a while and same for the other side if I am lying the other way around ! I find it so hard to get out of bed when I need to go to the toilet in the night and my siatic pain in my left bum cheek makes this all the harder ! I love being pregnant and feeling all my babies moves but I will be so happy to get my body back once this is all over ! And yes I know I will then miss my bump but to have my little boy in my arms with be just so fantastic I cant wait ! As much as we all grumble it is a fantastic experience !
