04-3-2009 - Cody\'s weight and baby rice!

My mood while writing this blog: ok

So today Cody was weighed and is now 14lb 6oz ! The health visitor says he is bang on average so i am very pleased about that . He also had his second lot of jabs today and he screamed for all of 10 seconds and was then back to normal . He has been ok since but bath time was terrible today he screamed till he went red in the face ! I put it down to the fact that is poor little legs may still of been hurting from the jabs.

In my last blog i wrote about trying Cody with baby rice . We started 2 days ago and so far it has been good. He is now taking 4 bottles a day and has 7 to 8 oz and at his breakfast one he has some baby rice at around 7.30 , an 8oz bottle around 11.30 -11.45 then an 8oz bottle and some rice at around 3.45 and then 8oz bottle at 7.15 then its off to bed after that . So far its been working well and he has actually cut a bottle out as before he was having slightly less milk but every 3 hours. Anyway so far so good and tonight I have frozen some carrot broccoli and sweet potatoe in ice cube trays for when we start to move on from the rice and I have got him some creamy porridge to have at breakfast ! I will stick with the baby rice for a bit longer first until he is properly use to it but today he had actually started to open his mouth for the spoon which was really sweet and he makes lovely little noises while he is taking it. I hope it carries on this way as i have been enjoying trying !
