02-4-2009 - Nasty Nasty Injections!

My mood while writing this blog:
uset for my poor uncomfortable baby

So Cody had his third lot of injections yesterday all 3 of them and today he is sooo upset , uncomfortable , clingy and you can tell that his poor little legs obviously hurt .I feel so sorry for him . He has cried every time I have put him down today and the only way I could get him to have a sleep after a very long morning was to go for a very long walk with the pushchair. He has now been asleep for about 20 minutes so I am hoing he will have a really good sleep so that by the time he wakes up the calpol I gave him before we went out will have kicked in! I cant bear to see my little boy so upset and I know the injections are for his own good health its just a shame that it has to affect him like this. He was so shocked by the needles yesterday that he went to let out an almighty howl and no sound came out !

I am so so glad that ,that is it for now , well atleast for another 8 months !

Anyway on a better note I have been given some oilatom for his bath and after only one bath in it there is a noticable difference in his excema . He gets it on his chest and round the back of his neck at the to of his back and on the side of his thighs. It doesnt help the skin around his chest the fact that he constantly drools all the time and goes through so many bibs every day that he always seems to be soggy ! I have also been putting some vasaline on that area to try and rotect it a little.

He was weighed yesterday and now weighs 16 lb ! His little legs are so chunky I just love his chunky thighs they are sooooooo cute !

As for the solids he is doing really well . He has solids at breakfast and tea then just milk during the rest of the day but I dont think it will be long before he wants some at lunchtime too ! I have been blending up lots of vegetables for him and freezing them in ice cube trays and have now started to freeze little meals too so that he gets lots of variety. He really seems to be enjoying his solids so I am really pleased and he gets so excited when he sees his bowl and soon !

Anyway ladies take care of yourselves and yor babies in or out !

The injections are so horrible aren't they, it makes you want to cry for them. I'm dreading Elliott getting his at 12 months, think he will be a right handful. Hate how red they go in the face and then the tears start streaming, sayng that when Elliott had his 3rd ones after a lot of crying he smiled at the nurse when we left lol xx

Ryan had his on Tue and was the same but its not until the next day he gets really sleepy I'm so glad thats it until they are 1, like you I hate seeing them in pain but I would rather have a few mins of pain than him catching measels or something and becoming deaf and blind from that,i 'm not normally 1 to judge but mums who have not vaccinated there kids are the reason all these horrible diseses are coming back. Any how enough of that rant (not aimed at anyone) glad Cody is doing well Ryan sufferes from excema too he has dipro base for his skin and dermo bath solution for bath time just weighed him today and he's 13lb 13.5oz's definately going through a major growth spurt thats 10oz's in just under 2 weeks no wonder why I've been wanting to put him on e-bay lol. Hows Sam getting on, is he still taking the big brother job in his stride. Keep well xx
