29-10-2009 - H1N1 confused as to what to doMy mood while writing this blog:
confused as to what to do

Dr. Russell Blaylock graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1963. I've attached a bio on his professional credentials .

Friend,

No one should take the swine flu vaccine. It is one of the most dangerous vaccines ever devised. It contains an immune adjuvant called squalene (MF-59) which has been shown to cause severe autoimmune disorders such as MS, rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. This is the vaccine adjuvant that is strongly linked to the Gulf War syndrome, which killed over 10,000 soldiers and caused a 200% increase in the fatal disease ALS (Lou Gehreg disease). This virus H1N1 kills by causing a "cytokine storm," which means that it cause the body's immune system to overreact and that is why it is killing young people and is a mild disease in the elderly. (The elderly have weakened immune systems.) This vaccine is a very powerful immune stimulator and carries the real possibility of making the lethality of the virus much greater..

One's best protection is vitamin D3. One should take 5000 IU a day now and when the diseas e begins to spread increase the dose to 15,000 IU a day. Vitamin D3 modulates the immune reaction, reducing the chance of an overreaction and stimulates the body to produce what are called antimicrobial peptides, which are powerful killers of viruses that does not involve immunity. This is dose related, which means the higher the dose of vitamin D3 the better the protection. Fish oils (the best is Carlson's Norwegian lemon flavored fish oil) also reduce immune overreaction. One teaspoon a day should be sufficient. For severe symptoms, one teaspoon twice a day. Antioxidants of various kinds also help. This includes, quercetin, curcumin, grapeseed extract, vitamin C and natural vitamin E. A good multivitamin/mineral such as Extend Core ( www.vrp.com ) is also essential.

Feel free to spread this around. People need to know how to protect themselves.

Dr. Blaylock is a board certified neurosurgeon, author and lecturer. He attended the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his general surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston , South Carolina ... During his residency he ran the neurology program for one year and did a fellowship in neurosurgery after his residency. For the past 25 years he has practiced neurosurgery in addition to having a nutritional practice. He recently retired from both practices to devote full time to nutritional studies and research.

During his residency training he worked with the eminent neurosurgeon, Dr. Ludwig Kempe.. Together they developed the transcallosal removal of intraventricular tumors, which is still used today. Dr. Blaylock presented their cases utilizing this technique to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. They also developed the ventriculolymphatic shunt in the treatment of hydrocephalus. In addition, they conducted neuroanatomical studies together with the aim of developing improved approaches in vascular intracranial surgery.

It was during his residency that Dr. Blaylock did much of the primary work on intraventricular monitoring of craniocerebral trauma patients, which was reported in the scientific literature. He also worked closely with Dr. Peter Jannetta during Dr. Jennetta?s early research on vascular compression of the cranial nerves as a cause of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. Dr. Blaylock was one of the first neurosurgeons to utilize high-intensity nutritional supplementation in craniocerebral trauma patients, which met with great success.

Dr. Blaylock has written and illustrated three books. The first book was on the subject of excitotoxins ( Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills ) and how they are related to diseases of the nervous system. His second book, Health and Nutrition Secrets That Can Save Your Life , covers the common basis of all diseases, nutritional protection against diseases of aging, protection against heavy metal toxicity, the fluoride debate, pesticide and herbicide toxicity, excitotoxin update, the vaccine controversy, protection against heart attacks and strokes and contains a new chapter on omega-3 fats. This book has been newly revised as an oversized paperback. His third book, Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients , was released in April, 2003 and discusses the ways to defeat cancer, enhance the effectiveness of conventional treatments and prevent complications associated with these treatments. In addition, he has written and illustrated three chapters in medical textbooks, written a booklet on nutritional protection against biological terrorism and written and illustrated a booklet on multiple sclerosis. He has written over 30 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals on a number of subjects.

Since the publication of his first book he has been a guest on numerous national and international syndicated radio programs and appeared on the 700 Club several times. He appeared on Nutritionally Living with Dr. Ward Bond. o do not think it is a hoax i think it is just another side of what the shot is all about another drs oppinion but i do agree with a lot of what he has to say but again it is all a matter of ur own opinion and the research u can find on everything

Hi, Sandistar! That's a hoax email that's going around. Here's a great Newsweek article that can help put your mind at ease about the shot. The squalene info is on page 2 of it. I got my shot on Wed. October 21st, and I am doing just fine. I actually have a bit of a chest cold right now, and often, people who are already sick are the ones who have the fatal reactions to catching H1N1, so it's nice to know that I have at least some immunity built up to that by now. Good luck in making your decision. I know it can be agonizing for some.http://www.newsweek.com/id/218513

roosa i am with you on that i keep saying i will and then i am like i dont want to get it i dont feel safe enough about it and i can not find enough research

I keep going back and forth in my decision making and feel very stressed about this subject. However, about squalene the cdc.gov website clearly says there is no squalene in the American flu vaccines, incl. the H1N1. So who do we believe?? *sigh*

thanx everyone my mom is a nurse as well and i am a medical assistant and she would not take the shot either i just have certain belifes that i can not get over and everything i am finding on the internet is the same thing over and over again so i am still up in the air about it i did find that their are some things to help fight against it like washing ur mouth with salt water sevral times a day and using a q-tip to wipe salt water in ur nose several times a day and using of course hand sanitizer A LOT will help i have felt since last yr when h1n1 was bad that it is really no differant then the flu itself at one point at the end of the season last year they did say on the news that it was not as bad as they thought even the regular flu kills people so see these are the things that i am trying to figure out what is best thank you all again for all ur advise

This is such a touchy topic for so many people, and I would like to commend you for posting information you found and asking for others' opinions on it. Oftentimes we jump too quickly at the chance to prove our side that we forget the other side has merits as well. I think we should all be able to say our peace without being put down or criticized. That being said, I got my H1N1 shot today and would never for a second regret my decision because I feel as though I researched it thoroughly. The CDC website has a lot of credited information on it, and from what I have learned this shot is no different from the regular seasonal flu vaccine, just a different strain of flu. Yes, I believe it came out quickly because it had to, but that is also the reason there is such an insane shortage, because they had to respond quickly. Luckily they already had the flu vaccine formula, they just needed to grow the weakened virus for the flumist (nasal sprays) and kill it again for the shot. I was given the Thermisol (Mercury/preservative) free shot today, and my 4 yr old was given the Thermisol free nasal spray. I made this decision because pregnant women only make up 1% of the population, but 6% are dying from the H1N1. Those numbers just seem to disproportionately high for me to take this risk with my unborn child. I personally would rather have a child with some form of birth defect (heaven forbid) as a side effect of the shot than get H1N1 and give birth to a child without a mother. I plan on taking a plane down to Florida 2 weeks from now and there was no way I could in good conscious get on a plane increasing my risk of contraction without being vaccinated. Not when my child would be half a country away. If I got sick that would be more time away from her, if I were to make it back. The fact of the matter is that this decision is the right of the mother to make, and no one can take that away. People say "do this" and "do that" and I've heard words like "stupid" and "idiot" thrown around in response to other's choices on either side and that is not right. I apologize that this is so long but it is my personal opinion based on my research and why I did get the shot. Make the choice that you feel most comfortable with and all you can do is hope for the best.

I've already decided that I'm not getting the vaccine and we're not getting our daughter vaccinated either. It's too new, they made it really fast and it hasn't been tested long enough and proven. So I'd rather not get the shot. Good luck with you decision.

I got the unadjuvanted formula and I don't regret it. Is it safe to take that much D3 during pregnancy? Just curious...we've had two pregnant ladies die here. I work as an RN at a busy hospital with lots of flu patients. I just can't risk it.
