We will have our boy circumcised. I'm thinking the odds of the same thing happening to your son that happened to your husband are low. I would talk to your doctor for some info....

I had my son circumcised and he did good. they numbed him so good, he didnt even cry. as long as you take good care of the cut, there should be no worries. always use white petroleum jelly on it for atleast 2-4 weeks and always pull the skin down when you change him and dont be scared, it wont hurt him. if you dont pull it down everytime or atleast every other diaper change, the skin will reattatch and they will pull it down at the Dr's and break the skin again. its painful to watch it too, i cried when they did my son, now i know better! sorry this is so long, but its useful information that i know since i have a boy=) hope this helps!

i have made the decision to circumcise my baby boy but i am scared and worried at the same time because of the cut that will be there for awhile. i am also worried that they won't do it right and it would have all been in vain.. story is that my husband was circumcised but it wasn't done right it's a half done circumcision and he still has a fold of skin. that i know of it hasn't caused him any problems since he was circumcised wrong. i guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm worried that the same thing will happen and that it wouldn't be worth it in the end. i'm just worried and needed to vent a little on this situation i have playing in my mind.
