| 15-10-2008 - Braxton Hicks? | My mood while writing this blog:Happy. |
Well yesterday evening I started getting a tight feeling in the top of my belly, at first I thought it was because I was cleaning my room out, and i had done too much (although i hadnt done much at all). I decided to finish and go and have a bite to eat. The I realised that it was braxton hicks, not painless but bareable all the same (so maybe they were false labour pains?).
I just thought as I was noticing them, and had been for awhile without realising, i would time them they were eight mins apart or there about. I was getting a lot of pressure down there and short sharp pains inside like my cervix or something. They carried on for awhile, I decided i would sit on my birthing ball. had a few more of these contractions, I txted my bf. i didnt realise at the time but he was already on his way around, surprise surprise once he arrived them seem to gradually get further aparts. I had some more "braxton hicks" the pain was abit more intense but they were irregular now, but I was still having the short sharp pains. I didnt have a brilliant nights sleep but I wasn't in lots of pain. but this morning theres still some pressure down there, but i feel alright today compared to how ill i felt yesterday. I am not sure if these pains i was feeling were braxton hicks or false labour pains not totally sure on the difference, i thought that braxton hicks were meant to be painless. hence the reason for thinking they might be false labour pains.
I said to my bf, if he hadnt have shown up things would have carried on. lol. every time i get a twinge or a pain, he asks if im in labour. bless him he really wants it to happen, but its making me feel bad and aggravating me because theres not a lot i can do to help bring her along that i havent tried already.
Today nothing. Some pressure down there when first getting up and when getting back from a walk. I've had braxton hicks (painless so defo braxton hicks). Seems like she is teasing me now lol. I've got the midwife finally tomorrow. we will see if the babies head has engaged anymore. but i know even though i've been having these pains it could still be a while before real labour sets in. as they always say, it could be hours, days or weeks. well more than likely weeks, in which case i will have been induced. lol
