17-10-2008 - what a day!

My mood while writing this blog: worried, relieved? frustrated. feeling too much atm!!!

So after a horible 38week check up, through getting myself worried about a number of things and everything turning out just fine, i decided i would stay as calm as i possibly could this time. I actually got to see my midwife for the first time in a while too.

So the checks goes as normal, for a change my urine is clean nothing in it. wooo. blood pressure fine too. good. Babys heart rate and position all good. However measurements not so good. I have grown any in two weeks, which wouldn't be good even on it's own but it brought me below the 10th centile line. So the midwife booked me in for an emergency scan. Surprisingly the got me in straight away, so I didn't have to spend the whole night worrying about my little angel.

Surprisingly i stayed as calm as i could, i was worried but knew that things might not be as bad as they could be. So i'm on my own, and to be honest i don't wanna be. I don't want to ring my BF because he is at work and I know he will not be able to get to the hospital in time. I rang my mom who was getting ready for work, i knew she had to go past the hospital so i thought well someone to get there with is better than nthing, But she said i couldnt go on my own and came along. I wasn't waiting long which is unusal for my hospital. I had a student scan me at first but she wasnt very errr able, she seemed amazed by my babys heart beat. Which was sweet, but i knew her heart was working fine i needed to know what was going on with measurements and too see if the placenta was working ok. Her lecturer took over. Placenta working fine so that was a big relief. Her head was to low to measure which makes me think maybe she is lower than 3/5th because at 36weeks they managed for measure it and i was 3/5th then too. They measured her belly which is measuring small only 37 weeks, then they measured her Femur length which was measuring bigger 40weeks and 6days. We've always said she has super model legs. from this scan they estimated her weight between 7lb and 7lb 2oz, Which brought us back above the 10th centile line (only just), but still not on her curve. The midwife spoke to the dr. Who said that everything looks alright, i've just got to keep a close eye on babys movements and i HAVE to attend my next midwife appointment wednesday (not like i was going to miss it, its when i should get my sweep and appointment to be induced)!!!

I remembered to ask how long they leave you to go over due before you get induced, 12days, which means she will hopefully be induced on the 25th. Which is not all that far away. only 8 more days. Just keeping my fingers crossed that everything is alright with my little one!!! wont be long now!!!!
