22-10-2008 - A light at the end of the tunnel FINALLY

My mood while writing this blog: Happy, hopefully!!!

Well today was my post dates appointment, felt like it would never come!
I was measuring fine this week, and the midwife agreed that it was probably just a case of everyone measuring me to different places etc. But babys heart rate was fine my blood pressure was, such a big relief!!!!!

She gave me a sweep and straight away she said her head was very low. I'm 2cm dilated, not alot. But I told her about the contractions I have been having for a few days and what they were like etc. She was very positive about everything, said I've got a good chance of going into labour by myself especially after, as she put it "gave me a good sweep!" =| lol. I was really dreading the sweep I thought it was going to be so painful, but it just felt like a bad period cramp while she was doing it. Just hope it has some effect.

She phoned the hospital for me to be booked in for induction, they at first tomorrow, but she said no, I want to give her chance to go on her own, so instead I have to phone up friday and see if they have a bed or whatever and get a time to go in. Just hope I am not waiting all day or told that I have to wait untill the following morning!

I really really hope I do go into labour by myself tonight or tomorrow, well I guess I can only hope, but the main thing is it will be soon that I finally get to meet my little girl and I really really can't wait at all!

So I am going to write myself a little list of things to do, to keep me busy tomorrow so I don't sit around all day getting work up or whatever. Thats if I can move, I have a horrible pain at the top of my stomach, I told the midwife about it how it felt and so on, but she just said well your urine is fine, so I'm guess it's my little girls long legs pressing on a nerve!!!
