22-11-2008 - 4weeks today

My mood while writing this blog: happy. but tired eyes

I can't believe that this time 4weeks ago i'd only just had my little girl. Time has gone so fast =| and theres me thinking the pregnancy went too fast for my liking (after i had her, cudnt wait to get her out though lol)

Olivia woke me at 6 o'clock this morning, but I left her too see if she actually wanted me or not, she didn't she went back to sleep by herself and woke up again at 7, I was already awake myself so we got up. She's been giving me lots of smiles this morning. I was saying to people that she had started to smile and they were saying it's just wind, but I was pretty certain it wasnt because it was when we blew raspberrys on her face lol. But this morning it was definate smiles. i tried to capture one with my cam, but like hell would she smile with a camera in her face, i will catch her out one day.

this week has been brilliant with her, she seems to be more aware of everything around her, following people around the room, looking for me when i am not holding her and she can hear me. and i put her mobile on for her during the day, last week she didnt care at all about it, infact it made her cry, but this week she has been staring up at it following it around, although she does only like the one song on there. She held a little rattle for the first tme the other day, i kept trying to get it in her hand, but got there eventually, as her hand was right by her mouth part of the handle went straight in.

Her colic wasnt half as bad as it has been the past week or so. I managed to keep her awake between an earlier feed rather than her being awake from her 5 o'clock feed til her 11 o'clock feed. She slept from aroud half 6ish til 8ish. which she wasnt as worked up because of her colic and being really tired. she tends to stay awake between at least two feeds a day, so i am going to try and make one earlier during the day and from her 8o'clock feed until her last. Im worried that if i let her sleep after her 8o'clock feed she wont want to go to sleep after wards. plus she stays awake by herself, i dont have to keep her awake like a nasty mommy lol.
It is so upsetting seein her suffer with the colic. the force she uses to push herself away is so strong, she either brings her legs right up or make her whole body stiff, constantly pushing me away while im trying to hold her, was nice not to have to go through all of that last night.

We have baby clinic on Monday for the first time. see if she has put anymore weight on since last week =). she seems to be doing really well still, she is being sick but it's normal to me now, doesnt worry me as much, sometimes is does. But they keep telling me its okay and clearly she is doing well because she is putting weight on brilliantly. so i shouldnt worry myself. just not nice seeing her throw up what looks like her whole feed.

I just can not wait for her first christmas, i've brought her a lot already considering she doesnt really need much since i went crazy before she was born. But i can't help it, and i know i wont stop even now i will carry on buyin for her everytime i see something i think is ideal for her.

I'm lookin forward to next week, not particular reason. Although it is my birthday next sunday. Me and Jamie are going out for the first time, I'm a little worried about leaving her but excited to get out too. I'm going to start expressing a few bottles everyday this week to get her used to having a bottle i dont want to leave her and she not take to it well. I think i may also being looking forward to the fact i'm going to spoil myself a little bit since no one else is going to do it, Im getting a hair cut FINALLY, the last time i had it done was when i was 26weeks pregnant. I was meant to go and get it done before i had her but i was to worried had visions on going into labour half way through a hair cut, jay promised he would pay for me to get it done after i had her but yeah that hasnt happened. I am also going to get my nails done and Jamies brought me a nice new dress to wear. Mommy needs to update her look a little bit, so she doesnt look so messy all the time lol.

Hopefully this week will be half as good as i am hoping it will be.
