09-12-2008 - 6 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: tired.

So after basically being told off by the health visitor last week i decided not to go to baby clinic. I had a hetic monday morning anyway, i had my 6week check at the dr's i got up an hour before the appointment, had to fed olivia then rush and get us both ready. I made it with 5mins to spare. The check was pointless in all fairness. 5 questions : How was your labour? How are you feeling? hows your bleeding? any problems with breastfeeding? Did you have stitches?. Anyways all was fine, she said i seem a natural and Olivia looked as though she is doing great too.

I feel bad for not taking Olivia to get weighed/see the health visitor. but after not seeing my actual health visitor last week who understood the reasons behind giving her formula, I knew she wouldn't be there this week and i didn't want to see someone different again, to make me feel as though i had done some wrong. i could have just took her to be weighed but i felt rubbish and jst wnted to get home after picking up perscriptions which seems to take for ever where i get them from.

I'm going to take her this monday, I don't want to be come obsessed over her weight, I know i have to watch it and so on. but health visitors all telling me to do differnt things is just going to stress me out. I just want to get on with being a Mommy to Olivia, after all i know whts best for her right?

I'm so excited for christmas, although she wont be really aware of whats going on. I just cant wait to get her dressed up in her Mrs Claus outfit. and wrap her presents up (for me just to open with her lol) but its got to be done. I want to make her first christmas special. On a happy note, me and jamie seem to be getting on a little better only a little bit though. still get annoyed at certain things and him not pulling his weight when i need him to, his fine to do it when i am capable of doing it. basically he doesnt help when i need it and lets me struggle. But i guess it is a start hey.

Oooo Olivia has started to get her self to sleep of a night too. since she was born i've pretty much had to feed her and after putting her down and her crying rock/sing/talk her to sleep. she seems to have decided to get herself to sleep. hopefully she stay like this i was worried that she was going to want me to rock her to sleep until she ws like four lol.

we play boo together now too, its amazing she is cooing all the time, smiling and laughing to. awww i love her.
