17-9-2009 - 33 week appointment!

My mood while writing this blog: happy

They put me in the u/s room and I got all excited, but it turns out that was just the only room they had available haha

Henry's heart rate is 140-150. Measuring 36 cm, so at least he's consistent. My Dr said she's guessing he's close to 5 lb now! My Dr & I both think he'll be an 8 pounder. I've gained 4 lb in the last 2 weeks (eek), but she said that was alright. She's so nice about the weight gain. So I'm up 29 lb total. My goal is to stay under 40 lb, so I still have 10 lb for the next 7 weeks haha I think it's possible for me to stay in that range.

I see the midwife at 35 weeks and she will do the GBS test & check my cervix to see if these BH have done anything. After that I will only see my Dr for the last month, woohoo!

Some bad news, because of some outbreaks of the swine flu, they will not be allowing anyone under 14 years old in the hospital so James won't be able to visit me That is going to be so hard, I was really counting on being able to see him after the baby is born but before I get to come home. But she said i should be able to go home the next day. Also she is suggesting me getting the regular flu vaccine & the swine flu vaccine over the next month as they both come out. I am definetly going to do that.

i asked her if she'd be on town on my due date and she said yes (it's still just luck of the draw if she actually is working at the hospital when I am in labor). She said she's there on Thursdays so I need to encourage Henry to come on a Thursday- and my due date is actually a Thursday so maybe it'll work out haha
