18-2-2009 - 37 weeks visit

My mood while writing this blog:
nervous!

Well just got home..she checked me i was only 1 cm (0 2 weeks ago) and he has dropped low she said but didnt give me a #. My strep B is NEGETIVE!!! woohoo. measured 35 weeks..said he just doesnt want to grow i guess. This exam hurt way worst then the 0 cm one...and she even had to boink his head out of the way to check my cervix!! Then she left me by saying not yet hun see you next week :( So i get home and i feel a gush again-i go sit on toilet and there is half my liner filled with brown blood! but i wipe and its BRIGHT red...and toilet is bright red...so im nervous. My sister said call dr cause it shouldnt be bright red-the brown is my "show" and she said 2 hrs after her show her water broke!! ahhhh

you must be SO excited and nervous. i'm excited for you. i just noticed you are from buffalo! my inlaws, hubby and lots of friends are from there - mostly east amherst, right outside clarence center. stay warm! go sabres! and good luck!!

I would call and ask. i think a little blood is ok but you should call if it's a lot.

This sounds like my 37 week visit except for the blood! I was 1 cm and 0% effaced last week, but this week, she said my cervix was behind the baby's head and couldn't tell what it was doing, so I didn't get a number either. It hurt way worse than last week, too! I think it may have been because she was really jamming her fingers in there to reach behind the baby's head, or it may have been that she poked/scratched my cervix with her fingernail through the glove. I was so disappointed since I wanted an actual number, but I was thinking that if my cervix is behind her head, maybe that means she's engaged/dropped? Who knows? But the blood, I didn't have that problem. Did you call the doctor? Let us know if this is the big day! I hope everything is okay and goes well.
