| 14-4-2008 - Well What Can We Say? | My mood while writing this blog:Tired |
So, I finally told my mom about me being pregnant. She got mad, said she lost her appetite and told me "I BETTER NOT BE!" Please come on! I'm 27, been married for almost 4 years, have my own home, pay my own bills and don't ask for one red cent! What ever. NOW.......she DOES having something to say to me. Are ya ready for this? She called to tell me (on Saturday) that she is kind of happy about the baby but she's also NOT happy. WTF? Ok, lol. THEN she proceeds to tell me that (my daughters were over there talking about the baby names we have picked out) SHE doesn't LIKE the name Emily. She says she knows WAY TOOOOO many Emily's and it's an UGLY name! What ever. She doesn't work with or know anyone named Emily, there are no Emily's in our family (that's a BIG thing of mine, the name cannot be one that's already in the family) and I've never even had a friend named Emily. Kiss my ass. LOL Can ya tell I'm just a bit annoyed? Oh well, right?
So, the next night after I tell my mom, my dad calls me and we're chatting and I casually bring up that I'm pregnant and due in October. Would ya like to know his response? CLICK. He hasn't spoke to me since Thursday and it's now Sunday. Again, what can ya do or say about it?
Medicaid has been playing their stupid little paper work games with me since the end of January when I found out I was pregnant. My first 2 pg tests weren't good enough "proof" for them and since we dont' have insurance, it's hard going anywhere to get test after test and not spend a fortune. Well, then I had to wait to be approved for the medicaid which I JUST got. My FIRST prenatal visit in April 17th and it's only to meet with the nurse at his obgyn office. By the time I get any screening/testing or U/S done, there will be half an arm hangin' out of me. LOL Now what is cool about April 17th being my first dr appt for the baby is that's the exact day 4 years ago that I met my hubby. We went on a blind date so that was the night we met and our first date.
I'm so glad to be in the 2nd trimester because i've not been nearly as tired. I didn't have ANY morning sickness at ALL! It was awesome. Well, gonna go lay on the couch where my big butt belongs LOL Nah, really I've only gained maybe 2 or 3 pounds. Not too bad if ya ask me. I gained 70 pounds with my first pg (lost it all) then got pg with my 2nd one and gained 40 (lost most of it then went on the depo shot where I gained almost 100 pounds in 2 years- Thank God I watched my diet and exercise and only kept about 30 out of the 100 pounds). Ok, I'll write more later. =)
