My mood while writing this blog: BLESSED! |
It's been 10 and a half months since Sophia was born. What a day that was! I was full of fear and anxiety. Not knowing what to expect was the hardest part for me. I was so scared for her. Now, I cant imagine what all that worry was for. Sophia is doing great! She is full of smiles and laughter. I now know what it's like to be blessed and I mean truly blessed! Each time I look at her I'm just so thankful God heard my prayers. A mothers prayer over her child is one powerful thing.
We do get looks and stares when we go out in public but most people just want to let us know how beautiful she is. There are some who walk up and ask what she has and I love those moments when I can educate someone on CdLS. Honestly, I cant even imagine life with her any other way. I'm so proud of her, I'm so proud to show her off. Everything she does is a miracle and every day is a blessing.
Right now Sophia's rolling over and she's able to eat stage 3 food and some table food. A HUGE milestone for a CdLS child as most cant eat by mouth and require a G-tube. She's trying hard to sit by herself and she puts most of her weight on her feet but she has a hard time balancing so we're working on that.
I miss you ladies and I hope all of you and your little ones are doing great!

Wednesday, 23 Mar just wanted you to know your beautiful Sophia is stunning! Shes full of such purpose and beauty. praying for you and your heart. I to had a genetic syndrome child. His is so rare its not even on the list. It happens 20 times per yr in the usa. It was not diagnosed until around 4 months because his markers where so soft comparably. He had Zellwegers Syndrome. he went to heaven for full healing on Feb 4th at 8 months and one day old. We miss him each day but praise God he is full and working and not in pain.I will tell you people stare because they don't know what to say. most of the time it is out of love ...they should be staring ..your child is very special! my guy had more love and visitors then anyone I know in his 8 months of life. praying for you daily preggoatlast -
