| 04-7-2008 - IT'S A BOY!!!! - (18-20 Week Scan) | My mood while writing this blog:HAPPY |
I had my scan this morning and the dates are still the same - EDD based on bubas size is now the 24th of November 2008. Bubs was always measuring 3 days ahead with every scan I've had.
The hemmorhage has now completely vanished. There was no sign of it in the scan. So the Sonographer said that my body did what it was surpose to do and has reabsorbed it back into the placenta. Although there was some slight trace of tiny specs of blood in the fluid. But said that it's absolutely nothing to worry about.
Damien and I took both our kids with us to the scan.. Jaedin was wondering what we were doing there and Damien asked Jaedin if she remembered what we did the last time we were there. She couldn't quite put two and two together. As soon as I layed on the bed and she saw the image on the screen she was like "oh my gosh Mum"....!! She was so excited (like we had given her a block of King Size chocolate). Her main concern was "where will the baby sleep, we have no spare rooms". And I said that I'm sure Khyen won't mind sharing his bedroom with his younger brother.
We found out that we are expecting another boy - which actually works out well. Means that Khyen - who is 14 1/2 months can share his room with his new brother.
Bubs was moving around lots and everyone was just looking at my tummy doing little movements. My sonographer (who is also pregnant), said that it was rare for me to feel movements as early as I did because the placenta is lying at the front (not sure of the medical term for it). But said I'd felt movements from early on in this pregnancy.
The placenta is mm's from my cervix and said that I'll be asked back in at 32 weeks to make sure the placenta isn't lying over my cervix. And if it is then a C-section is inevitable. But because I have delivered my babies just over two weeks early, that I'd have to be booked in 3 weeks early... but all could change and the placenta could grow upwards as bubs grows and I could deliver naturally (which is what I would love).
So all in all an AWESOME day!! I'm on a natural high, and can sit back and stop feeling so paranoid.
Time to tell the rest of the family our news.... I'm pregnant lol.
