| 08-9-2009 - we're getting there! | My mood while writing this blog:content |
Getting near to the end of week 32. I almost can't believe it. Before I know it, I'm going to have this little one in my arms and I can't wait! : )
This weekend flew by. I spent a lot of it organizing the nursery and writing thank you cards from the shower. And then I also went shopping to pick up a few other neccessities that we didn't get from the shower. Holy crap, did that stuff add up fast! I'm so excited though because I found a Chicco travel system on Craigslist for $100 (Discovery theme). It's only a year old and in like-new condition. I went and met the people selling it on Saturday and brought it home! I am SO happy with that find. Paul and I spent Sunday morning playing around with it and looking at all the features. he he. You'd think we were going to be the ones riding in it with how excited we were with the simplicity of how it opened and closed, and how the car seat fit in so easily... Now I think all we have left to get is a pack n play - and the wife of one of my coworkers had a baby recently and said we could have theirs at the end of the month. She said it's in great condition and has the napper and changing table insert too, so hopefully that works out.
I got a good start on packing my hospital bag this weekend too. I'm still kinda afraid that I'm going to go into labor early, and I just want to make sure I'm prepared. Tonight Paul and I are headed to the hospital for a tour, so I'm excited for that as well. And then tomorrow I have another U/S and appointment at the same time. I'm praying that Eli's hydronephrosis (urine in his kidney) has cleared up on it's own. The doctors keep telling me that it's a very mild case, and just barely over the cutoff, but it's something they like to keep an eye on. So I'm not really concerned, but more excited to see him again (and make sure he's still a boy! I'm not washing any of the clothes from the baby shower until after tomorrow - just in case! LOL ) and I'm anxious to see what position he's in too. I'm pretty sure he's head down now, but I can't tell for sure.
My sleep quality has definitely deteriorated lately, which sucks...but I just can't seem to get comfortable. I'm tossing all night alternating between my left and right side to sleep on, and I still can't seem to find a comfortable position. I seem to fall asleep more easily on the couch with my legs propped up. I hope you ladies are having an easier time than I am, and that you are all feeling good!!
