I went in on Thursday to speak to my doctor and do a follow up with my hcg levels. The levels came back at 57 which is a very good drop since on Monday they were at 235. My doctor said things seemed to be snapping back and she was happy with the drop. I will go back on Thursday so they can check my hcg again just to be sure it's down.
After talking about that I asked her about what we can do next. What my plan should be. I let her know I am done taking the wait and see approach and wanted to start getting some answers whether good or bad. She suggested since this is the 4th loss that we do chromosomal dna genetic testing on both Zach and I. I was really excited about her suggesting this test because it will put my mind at ease just to know one way or the other. I have feared for some time that we have something wrong between us so this will be good to show me either no you don't or yes there is and how to proceed. I just want to know.
I called my insurance because she wasn't sure if they would cover this, indeed they do not. I argued with the woman on the phone over the companies idea of medically necessary testing. They seem to think me finding out why I might have lost 4 babies isn't very important and I beg to differ. After all the news I got this seemed to hit me the hardest. I know understand why people get so angry with these companies. I pay them all year long and when it comes to one of the most important test (to me) I can get, they refuse. Then to be told that infertility is a personal problem was putting salt in an already gaping wound. Zach and I will now save the $900.00 we need to get this test. We will take out a loan from his parents if need be.
We are both set on doing all we can to expand our family. I just never knew how hard it would be. I have never felt so out of touch with my body. I feel like it's turning on me with each pregnancy and it's determined to win. I can't seem to understand why me. Why can't I have a normal pregnancy? I find myself evaluating my life and wondering if things I did are now coming back to bite me. I can't believe this is happening. But we will move on, we will go through the motions and ask the questions that we must. We are determined.

I'm sorry hun ttc has become hard but i do hope you get answers now to all the question u have and soon you will be preg and it be here to stay so hang in there things will turn around and be good

Sorry you have having all this trouble, I know it hurts when you can understand why your body is being so cruel.
Its awful you have to pay $900 for the test, its alot of money. But you are right, its best to know either way so you know how to move on.
Have you had other tests? Lupus, Antibody check, Infection check, progestrone, thyroid. Or it could be a structural cause, have you had your cerix and womb checked?
I have been through all the tests, I know its different as I am in the UK but if you need to chat about it, I am here x x

I am so sorry TTC has turned out to be such a tough journey for you, and that now there will also be a financial strain added to you. But I truly do hope you will find some answers soon. I assume they have done the regular blood work testing on you, for blood clotting etc? I do hope you will experience a successful pregnancy soon. Who knows why this happens to some people. It isn't fair. Hang in there though!!! Love, Karin

Is there any other testing they can do to rule out other things or will this tell them everything they need to know? It will be good to have some answers and I can't wait to hear them. When will you test and have results? I'm so sorry for all you have gone through and I hate the insurane companies too. All medical problems are personal- what a dumb thing to say!!
