| 21-7-2008 - My story! | My mood while writing this blog:OK |
Just wanted to add my previous updates from my profile to here so my profile can be updated with my current pregnancy.
So far I have had 8 m/c and one ectopic which resulted in me having my left tube removed. The last 5 years have been very difficult but we are strong and have managed to get through it.
All the older updates I have added to my profile are below.
Updates:
My last period was the 9th Jan and due to my long cycle, it makes me 6 weeks.
I had a scan on Friday on the 22nd Jan and we could see the sac. Getting that far was amazing as we have never seen anything on a scan before as I have always started to m/c.
I have had two bleeds but so far they have stopped and everything seems ok. I have a scan on the 5th March so fingers crossed everything will be OK.
28th Feb Update
I have started to bleed again, but this time it is heavier and I have cramps. I am so scared, I cant go through another m/c I cant take it. I am going to hospital in the morning so we will have to wait and see.
29th March Update
Hi I went to the hospital today for a scan and I have started to m/c, its not complete yet so I have to let nature take its course. I have an appointment on Wed with the consultant.
I am gutted, I was so desperate for this baby.
I dont understand why I keep m/c, I dont know if I am strong enough to cope again.
2nd May Update
I have been to see the consultant today and finaly we may get some answers. I have had lots of blood tests and my hubby has had one. They are testing all sorts including our chromosones.
The tests will take about 2 months to come back...long wait. We have been advised to not try again until we have the results. We will be going to see the consultant again on 28th May 08.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words of support. Good luck to all and lots of baby dust.
28th May Update
I went to see the consultant today for our test results. I have tested positive for Anti-Nuclear Antibodies. Apprently there is an association between these findings and recurrent pregnancy loss. He has reccomended that I take 75mg Asprin on the confirmation of a positive pregnancy test then once a scan has confirmed viability I will have regular Tinzapraine injections throughout pregnancy. I feel relieved that finally we have an answer but also scared....will this treatment work? We have been advised to wait until June before we start to try again. I think we will wait abit longer, have a holiday in August, get our self strong again and then try.
