| 10-11-2009 - People drive me CRAZY! | My mood while writing this blog:content |
Does anyone else find that some people have opinions about everything you do as a parent?
Like I chose to exclusively breastfeed.
I have no problem with people who choose to use formula. I think each person needs to do what is best for them. Yet, people make comments about me breastfeeding. Why? I don't get it. All of my friends that have had babies recently or within the last year use formula. 3 of them were set on breastfeeding but gave up within the first few days because it was too hard for them. Well believe me...I get it! Jackson is finally starting to nurse well and regularly. I've had so many issues with breastfeeding but I'm determined and it's what I've always planned on and wanted to do. And it's better for both of us if I stick with it.
One of my friends didn't BF because she couldn't drink if she did and now her son is 4 months and she's most excited about his being able to hold his own bottle so she doesn't have to take time out of her day to feed him. She also couldn't wait to get him into daycare. I kind of think it's a little sad I guess. He's still a little guy you know? And why am I wrong for not doing the same?
I don't doubt myself one bit and I know we're doing what is best for us and for Jackson but I don't see why people make comments like we're doing something wrong just because it's different.
