| 09-3-2009 - FINALLY! | My mood while writing this blog:content |
Well, today my husband and I went to the doctor and we got to hear the heartbeat! It was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!
The only downside is that we had to wait 45 minutes for a 5 minute appointment with our doctor. I never feel as if I can talk to him about any questions or concerns that we might have. I also feel as if I'm already being pressured to get an epidural when I deliver which I do not want. I'm not against them, it's just a personal preference for me I guess. I want to do things as natural as possible and I'd like to avoid a c-section at all costs unless, of course the baby is in danger or something.
Anyways, my mom delivered all 3 of us with 2 different midwives and had great experiences with us all. The L&D ward I would be delivering in is fantastic and almost more like a large hotel room where the daddy can sleep in a big king sized bed with you and there's a tv room with a stocked fridge, etc, etc. But yeah, it is beautiful and accomodating and very homey and comfortable.
So next Monday I have an appointment with a midwife and she was so sweet and nice on the phone and was really willing to work around my schedule and whatnot so I think I may be switching to her care.
Well that's all for now I guess! We're already accumulating tons of baby stuff and tomorrow is my 21st birthday so Eric and I will be celebrating that (though not the usual bar-hopping style haha) with dinner and getting some baby stuff organized.
Hope everyone is doing well and God bless!!!
