17-8-2009 - Is it just me?! Frustrated...My mood while writing this blog:
Frustrated...

Maybe I'm having an off day or something...

Today I've been very frustrated with people, especially people on forums like this one. None of you actually though! It's just like, I had some girl tell me that we wouldn't be able to give our baby a good life because we're young and because we don't have college degrees. Well, we live within our means and we've managed to save up quite a bit considering. I have my cosmetology license and my husband is in nursing school.

I know I shouldn't let it bother me but it does. I just don't think it's fair to say that only children raised under specific "ideals" will turn out decent. Every family has their secrets and money or education doesn't mean that a father won't be abusive or a wife won't have an affair. There are family problems in every class of people. Be serious now...

Another person made a reference that I was harming my baby in some way by walking every day. Well I'm not doing gymnastics or something! I feel better when I walk so I do it. I was a runner before being pregnant so I've toned it down.

Hmmmph. I just get irritated. We try really hard to do what's best for our family and our baby. I just don't get why people would insinuate such things. I would never do anything to hurt Jackson or put him or myself at risk.

:( Sorry for being such a downer...

Just ignore those people, they aren't worth the time of day. You will do just fine with your baby. It never pays off being ignorant.

i know what you mean!! my fiance JUST finished college last month, and im starting back in the fall and have 2 years left. our son has everything he could need or want!! and we are great parents, we shower him with love, take great care of him, he doesnt even have babysitters bc we make sure it is either one of us or our parents watching him and thats it. the amount of money you have or dont have, as well as college degrees, isnt what makes a good parent. as long as you can provide the basics and fulfill all the childs needs, then it doesnt matter. that can be done with a lot or with a little money. good luck!!

Oh girl don't let them get to you. You know what you are doing and you will be and are doing great. Most of the time people who write such comments are living bitter lives and just feel they have to take it out on someone else. And are these women forgetting that doctor's encourage walking during the ENTIRE pregnancy. Idiots. Good Luck girl! Mucho labor dust to you.

First of all I think people make pages in here to write stupid comments because they are bored in their lives. I've heard of a lot of girls getting rude messages and I find it weird that some pages that I click on haven't been active in over 3 months, but that person is commenting on questions and such.....so really weird and don't listen to what people are saying your doing fine! But I have to say that you can walk all you want to and it's good for the baby when it's time for labor, but that baby is only gonna come when he is ready. Some people are so uninformed.

I wish I could go walking. I am in so much pain that i can't hardly walk from the car to the boardwalk at the beach or roll over in bed. Walking is good for you.As for this person telling u this BS who are they to say anything? Does she have this great college education? I'd tell her to get bent! I know lots of ppl who have educations and are not wonderful parents. This is suppose to be a support site not a put u down site.

You shouldn't listen to people like that or let them get to you. You aren't that young & you sound like you're doing better than a lot of people your age or older! And she must be pretty stupid anyways to think that walking will hurt your baby...it will help if anything at all! You will do great!

People are stupid! Your going to be a great mother, and you already are, my doctor told me that exercise everyday like walking is good for you and baby, so maybe people should look into the truth of things b4 they comment about someone! I hope you don't let ignorant people get you down!

Dont listen to the person that is being to cruel to you, you are doing everything that every pregnant mother does, i dont think i have stopped walking LOL!! And as for you not being a good mother, regardless of what age you are you will be as good a mum as the next person so dont let this silly person get you down. Please ignore this person and dont let her put you down you will be a fantastic mum. Take Care S x

Harm your baby by walking is she serious, what an idiot!! Unless you were having severe problems and were on bedrest its a very healthy thing to do!As for not being able to give your baby a good home, i have 4 kids pretty young.they have everything they need vut were are not wealthy.they are healthy happy, well mannered children (my eldest is 11) they are caring and not spoiled. Everyone has the potetential to be a bad parent regardless of age.Its how you go about parenting not your age or finacial situation.IGNORE people like these.Your baby is wanted, you sound mature for your age and your baby will be loved and looked after well.Thats the most important thing. Good luck baby will be here before you know it xx
