| 30-8-2009 - Maybe?! | My mood while writing this blog:TIRED! |
As most of you know, I went into L&D on Thursday night because Jackson wasn't moving. They hooked me up to the monitor and said they'd do that for about an hour and see what happened. Maybe 30 minutes into it, the nurse checks the strip and says I'm steadily contracting every 15 minutes. She hooks me up to an IV to see if I was dehydrated and gives me lots of water and my choice of juices (I picked cranberry lol). I felt alot of cramping feelings and pressure but I didn't know I was contracting!
My midwife was already there because another of her patients was in delivery. She checks me and I'm 80% effaced and a little over 1 cm dilated. Big change since the week before I was just thinning and not dilated.
Another half hour to 45 minutes passes and she checks again. Now I'm contracting every 3 minutes and now I feel it! Not horrible pain but uncomfortable. My midwife checks me again, no change. Nothing. Booo.
So they want to keep me overnight which I am NOT happy about because if nothing is happeneing then why bother sleeping in a bed that isn't my bed. So I opted to go home.
Since Thursday night, I had been steadily contracting every 3-5 minutes and they were getting more intense. So we walked, BD'd, sat on my exercise ball, used evening primrose oil, etc. Today, they started slowing a little. I was so upset and discouraged! Even though this morning when I got up and I wiped there was a drop of bright red blood. I know it COULD be a good sign but who really knows. Just now, I went to the bathroom and wiped and out comes a big glob of stuff. Mucus plug came out! I know it really means nothing because I started losing pieces of it around 33 weeks but I also know it will regenerate itself over time.
Anyways, I wiped and there was a decent sized glob of it and when I went to the bathroom again a few minutes later, another big glob with pinkish blood through it. Now I have a teeny bit of spotting but nothing to worry about.
I just had a super intense contraction though so maybe this will be it! I've been sitting on the exercise ball and rocking on it for hours today in hopes that I'll dilate more. Wish me luck!!!
My son Jackson is 8 month old and a little daredevil (as seen above hehe). Anywa...
Maybe my eyes are off but in this photo of new mom Gisele Bundchen, is she carry...
What color would you say my son`s eyes are? (My MIL didn`t think they were blue)...
