18-9-2011 - Pregnancy Blog - Third Trimester

My mood while writing this blog: Hot and Tired

Okay so I haven’t updates in quite a while – so here goes….

19^th August – Had my 27 week check up – Everything is looking great….we have quite a mover in there J , she weighed me and I have only put on 4kg’s since first being pregnant (which she said is great because considering my height and my pre – preg weight, I should only put on between 4-7 kg’s in the second trimester) – honestly from the back you can’t even tell I’m pregnant – Im all belly and boobs J Hahaha, I am measuring a week ahead but she didn’t seem concerned but she did say that since my last labor was pretty quick (around 4/5hr’s) that as soon as I feel any sort of pain I should call the hospital straight away. Other than that I feel great but am a little stressed about getting the room completed before hand (we just have so much to do) I also don’t know if I will be having a baby shower this time around (not that I want gifts – it would be more just a get together with friends and work colleges) but it all depends on if the room is done and when – because the month of October is very hectic for us with lots of birthdays and 2 weddings.

16^th September – so about a month ago I did my GD test and only got my results back last Friday at my 31 week routine checkup (they said they would contact me if they had any concerns – so I figured all was okay) Well my sugar was only 3.6 – which they were very happy about considering diabetes runs in mine and Trav’s family, I am still measuring a week ahead and from mid pregnancy I predicted I would go first week of Nov between the 1^st – 7^th ???!!!! So I may just be right with this pregnancy and the baby’s coming early, with Jayden I measured a week ahead and he was 10 days early but I know every pregnancy is different.

We have finally completed the baby’s room – I was totally stressing out about it cause the room was being used as a spare / junk room and we had no other space to put all that so we had to get a shed installed which would take 2 weeks….so I just kept thinking everything is going to delayed – Well Trav being the good husband that he is took me to shop for paint (we chose a cream / latte color for the main and a sunshine yellow for the feature), he then emptied out the whole room and put the “junk” in the bar area and started painting, once the pain was done – I pulled out all Jayden’s baby clothes and all the new stuff we had bought, washed them, dried them, hanged them and folded them, I filled up our change table and just last Saturday Trav put the cot together and we gave it a good clean up – well the room is not complete and we chose a “Sesame Street / Elmo” theme – it’s just prefect….now all we need is for our little bundle of joy to arrive J I shall post pic's this week....

Jayden has been great – he is getting bigger, cuter and cheekier by the day – he also has his moments where he can’t wait for the baby to come and then there are days where he says he doesn’t want a baby hahah – I know he will be a great big brother but I just hope the adjustment period is nice and smooth – well somewhat anyway hehe.

I have been feeling super tired and I was run down with the flu, I finish up work of the 29^th of October but if I can’t cope anymore I will just stop work a little bit earlier….I pretty much worked right through with Jayden so I’m sure I’ll be okay and I’m in an office so it’s not too bad!

Also need to get started on packing things in my hospital bag for baby and me – that will be done soon so that’s one more thing I can check of my list.
